Dorset Cereals Oats and Barley 10 Porridge 42 g (Pack of 5)

I purchased two cartons of five boxes for my wife as this is her favourite porridge. Both cartons arrived earlier than the estimated date with no problems. Excellent service from the supplier and an excellent product from Dorset Cereals.

The date on these have me just over a year before expiry so they aren't emergency sales. The porridge us good, I don't quite follow the instructions, I probably add a little more liquid and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and it's hood for me. It isn't sweetened so if you're a traditionalist and want to add salt, knock yourself out! If you've hit a sweet tooth like me, the plainness of this porridge is its advantage. Add what you like.The oats and barley are chunky so you feel you're getting a substantial feed. Good stuff.

I love Dorset Cereal oat & barley porridge. Unfortunately I have been unable to find it in any shops. I even tried in Dorset, without success. The shops have all the other flavours ( which are far too sweet ) but no plain porridge.

Excellent! Can't get it in supermarkets anymore :( barley makes it tastier - less like Q Oats sawdust

My husband loves this porridge as it has bits in it but very difficult to get from normal supermarkets now.

I thought these were very good value for money - I have purchased from supermarkets before and much more expensive.Very easy to make - just pop it into the microwave a couple of times, give it a stir and its done. Lovely creamy taste, and with the barley and oats has a very nice texture. A good filling breakfast, to start your day.I'm glad that they have changed the colour of the box - as when it was the pale green I couldn't read the instructions! Much easier now the boxes are blue - I would definitely recommend this porridge.
