Good knife for cheap
The brass isn't quite finished but the steel is of good quality and the blade is sharp. Really good value knife.

There is work involved
The edge is not evenly ground, there is a (sizable) nick in it. As others have noted, the brass doesn't seem to have made the last couple finishing processes. The good news? It's under $8, people. Your expectations shouldn't be all that high to start with and the flaws are fixable with a minimum of tools and skills (sharpening stone, fine sandpaper and patience). I don't regret the buy and if you go in to the deal with a realistic attitude you shouldn't either.

Old fashioned bone knife
Heavy construction, big, but one of the poorest quality knives that I've ever owned. Sent the first back because it apparently bypassed the quality control station... I guess this one did too, handle is all cracked and split, ill fitting as well. Brass bolsters appear to have missed at least one or two stages in the finishing process but somehow got put on the knife.. I should have just ordered it in kit if they made one.. I would not recommend this knife at all for someone building a collection, but will say this... It is a knife of heavy construction would be good as a backup, no nonsense, junk knife for camping or yard work... Forget the looks and by all means forget quality.. This is from Pakistan.. Although it was not expensive, why even go to the effort, if your not even going to try and make a piece of semi good quality.
