Nostalgia RSM650COKE Coca-Cola 32-Ounce Slush Drink Maker

Alright so, I bought this for my girlfriend for christmas due to her constant need to crave slushies. Using it the first time and watching everything start to slush was amazing and it works very well. Soo if you're looking into buying one here's some things I learned about this bad boy! 1. You need to crush the ice or use smaller pieces rather than the normal cubes of ice that come from a typical freezer. 2. When using the salt (it is needed for the freezing process), avoid using large chunks of salt (like ice cream salt dont use that) as it will sit on the top and only freeze the top of what you are making. 3. Start the slushie maker before adding ANYTHING as if you fill up the metal part with the ice and salt before starting it will throw off the balance and could break the lid. I know its tempting too because it's a pain in the rear to put the ice and salt through a small hole, but it works. 4. Don't use anything that doesn't have sugar in it, it just wont work and will break your machine. Pros It works, and you dont have to worry about driving 15 minutes away from the comfortable couch because your needy person is begging for a specific kind of slushie from a specific place, 15 mins away. It only takes about 15 mins for it to be done slushifying your beverage. Cons It's as loud as your tv so good luck listening to your show if your kitchen isn't closed off from the living room. This thing SUCKS to clean, it is not dishwasher safe so theres a downvote for that.

I bought this for my Fiance and she loves it, If you are looking for a machine that makes 7/11 quality slushies this is most definitely it. We have only used it about 5-10 times as of now, and every time its make an amazing slush. There are a few things that i must include which can be considered cons however, Its very noisy, its basically like having a low speed blender on for 15 minutes. The amount of ice and salt that it requires to make 1 slush is high, Ice and Salt are really cheap to buy but making sure you have enough room in your freezer... It takes around 7-8 big handfulls of ice which needs to be about 1cm from top of metal canister, 1/2 cup salt , and 1/2 cold water , and 15 minutes TOPS (depends greatly on how cold the drink is when you pour it into the drink slot) If you fill it up to "Max Line" be prepared to have a 32 oz cup rdy. PS. Dont bother using warm drinks, you will end up having to add more ice and salt and will take a lot longer.

I bought this for my mom for her birthday she is a coke icee lover!!! It came in earlier than expected. She was very excited!!!. I read the directions before use and it says you can use regular salt but on a small yellow piece of paper that came with machine, says rock salt is best to use. I used the rock salt and did exactly what the instructions said and YASSS it made awesome coke icees!!!!! My mom loves them and it was a great gift!!! Everything is plastic but it still works fine it is a bit loud but not to bad. Read the instructions and it will work great !!! P.S the Lil yellow paper that comes with it has great tips to help

I would give 5 stars if not for the unwanted additives that I have found in my drinks since the first use. Pictures were taken after using for the first time. I have had 2 higher capacity machines in the past of far higher quality. When mine finally gave out I didn't think it would be so hard to find a replacement. This seemed to be my only option for a true slush maker without going commercial, so after reading reviews I was satisfied that it would at least do what I needed it to do. I don't care about noise, small capacity, or the length of time it takes to make a frozen beverage. I wanted a machine that created an icy drink using only the mixture that I put in it. I don't have any desire to use highly concentrated syrups as I avoid all high fructose corn syrup and have no need to develop diabetes. This does exactly what it is supposed to do and allows me to create whatever I desire. It also allows me to be picky about my ingredients. Overall the quality of the beverage is superior to anything that grinds ice and adds it to a concentrated mix anyway. I will say that this one doesn't create quite the finished product of my previous 2, mysterious additives aside. It's still enough for me, even the shavings in my beverages aren't a deterrent. My first 2 had no coating on the central metal chamber and seemed to perform better with less ice build up on the metal than this one. It's no surprise since I have noticed that nonstick coated cookware has far more stuck to it than my plain noncoated pieces. I do wish they would make a higher quality machine with more capacity and no coating. I would gladly pay more as I did for the first 2. The ability to hide the cord was a nice bonus. I wish my other countertop appliances had this feature. We are in the middle of selling our home and even had to hide the toaster, but I did leave this piece out. It's quite attractive and with the cord hidden it doesn't clutter the counter up like most other small kitchen appliances. Overall I'm happy with it since it does what I need it to do, but it does take triple the time to make beverages for the whole family since I have to let it cool down before making a second batch. My other machines used rock salt, and that may be part of why they produced a better final result. I used table salt only in the first batch, table salt mixed with a coarser kosher salt is what I have used since. It does seem to speed up the process and help keep the ice from forming into blocks better than table salt alone. I may try rock salt, but see no need at this point.

Works Great! I've always wanted a slush maker but the professional 7/11 style ones were too expensive, I found this gem and had it shipped all the way to Israel. Pros: Works with any sugary beverage. Easy to clean (about the same as a bender) comes out just as good as any slush you buy takes about 10-15 minutes for a full tank of slush very easy and clear instructions to follow nice design Cons: almost all plastic, but i believe if you take care of it, it should last A bit loud, not as loud as a blender but pretty close, but its not too annoying Takes lots of ice, had to buy lots of trays since I don't own a fridge with a build in ice dispenser (big ice cubes work fine despite what others said) All in all I can't help but to give it 5 stars, despite the cons, the pros outweigh it and its a great gift for any slushy lover who wants to make his own slushies as well as save some money by making it at home.

First impressions were not very good. Almost all of the product is plastic. Waited until I received my syrup to try it out and followed the instructions step by step. When I got to the step to put I into freeze mode I pushed the switch over and nothing happened. I thought it was the wall outlet so I tried multiple outlets and still nothing. Terrible product!! Thought I give it a shot but was let down. Should have listened to the other reviews and not bought this.

I was close to buying an ICEE machine for my daughters daughters, but then this showed up in my search at a quarter of the price of its competition. I can definitely see how not following the directions perfectly can lead to broken plastic blades or the machine seizing up, but wow, this thing works amazing! We use snow cone syrups and mix between 1:3 to 1:4 with water. The machine takes every bit of 15 minutes to get to the perfect consistency and makes around 3 good sized servings. Again, I'm just wowed with just how well these slushies turned out! We've used it around ten times and each attempt has been completely successful.

i love this machine!!! It totally works!!! Instructions for this to work: 1) 1/4 pour crushed ice and ice cubes. 2) 1/4 rock salt 3) 1/4 pour more ice cubes 4) 1/4 rock salt 5) 1/4 water 6) make sure your sugar drink (coca cola) is really cold. it takes about 6 minutes to start freezing and 8 minutes 37 seconds the slushie was ready!!! It took us a couple of tries to understand the mechanics so dont give up!! If it still doesnt work after a few tries pour a lot more salt!! thats the key!!!

Aun que hace ruido no es demasiado molesto, es importante seguir las instrucciones y utilizar sal de mar si no se tarda mucho y solo se congela una parte

Tardo demasiado en llegar y la caja llego golpeada pero fuera de eso el producto esta genial
