The light itself performs well, but the remote, like has been mentioned, is almost worthless. I was able to get the remote to function if I hold it underwater right next to the light, but this is not always practical. There are many mode combinations and I suppose if you have a favorite, you can leave it in that mode indefinitely. The remote then becomes unnecessary.

When they work. This is my second one in two seasons. Hopefully it’ll last cause they aren’t cheap. We’ll see next season

The light works as advertised. It’s bright and the colors are vibrant. I was really hoping the remote would work better than advertised (even though the supplier is fully up-front about its shortcomings). I mean, they even put an extendable antennae on this thug. Still, I had to put the remote in the waterproof bag (provided) and had to hold the remote in the bag, directly against the glass lens of the light while my arm is up to my shoulder in the pool to allow the remote to work. At that point, I’m not even sure why a remote is provided. It’s just silly. I’ll probably just use the “flip the switch”method of setting the light to the color settings I want and could’ve skipped the added remote. Just to be clear, the supplier gave full disclosure that the remote may have to be held underwater next to the light. I just had to see for myself.

Couldn’t get the remote to work. Light is powered by a light switch so we couldn’t program just one mode. Instructions poorly written and I had several people review them.

Easy to install. Looks great. Pool is 32ft X 16ft rectangle. All colors but red illuminate the pool pretty good. The color red has a short wavelength, so that's expected. Only issue is with the remote. #1 - The remote in the picture is not the same remote we received. We figured it out, but still annoying. #2 - In order for the remote to work, we practically have to stick the antenna in the water. The bulb is only 18" below the waterline. So the remote strength is pretty weak. We still haven't figured out how the "turn power on and off" function changes the colors/shows. Guess we'll have to do more reading. So far it's a good bulb replacement.

The media could not be loaded.  Installed the light bulb with new seals and everything. Worked great at first, then it just started blinking one night. Turned it off, then on again later, it came back on and stayed on for almost an hour before it started blinking again.. I pulled the housing from the pool today, no water intrusion....Nice bulb when it's not blinking though...
