I seriously could not put this book down! It really takes you into another world it seems! If you like fantasy and renaissance times this is the book for you! 10/10!!!

I’ll be first to say that fantasy type books is something I don’t really read. But I really enjoyed this book!It was a nice easy read that had me turning pages so quickly!I really liked the pacing of the story and the relationships the characters had with each other. Especially the relationship between King Naeloe and Prince Taelor. It felt very realistic that while a king can love his child very much, he must also be a strong and almost cold king to protect what he has.There were times I felt the story progressed to quickly, but it did not ruin the experience or flow of the book for me.I recommend this book if your new to fantasy like books. It’s got a good mix of a little of everything and the old Shakespearean like language is not difficult to comprehend.

It follows the story of Prince Taelor, a young man who is heir to the throne of Minear. Throughout the story, the reader will experience loyalty, betrayal, love, heartbreak, happiness, and tragedy as they follow Taelor on his adventures that will test the true bonds of family and friendship. The author, Rachel Passer, does a wonderful job leading you on this adventure through the eyes of Taelor in a thrilling tale that will keep you continuously guessing what will happen next.

This was a joy to read through, full of clever and unexpected turns. For anyone who looks for a near shakespearean sort of tale, this is a perfect place to go. Accesible, deep, and surprisingly dark at times, this story leaves you wanting more, with characters begging to be discussed. Perhaps it is on the shorter side, and lovers of dense dialogue might find it a bit too fast paced. However, this book is entertaining from start to finish and is perfect for young adults and above looking to get into the fantasy genre.

Passer has such a unique voice, which was very refreshing especially in terms of fantasy novels. This story is definitely what you look for when seeking a new read (or even a new show to binge-watch) and is a true page-turner! The characters are intriguing and relatable, you feel for them very quickly. The events have their own flavor and there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the adventures that unfold! But what I found most impressive was the rhythm and the excitement of the journey. Super excited to follow Passer's work in years to come!!

Dark and witty "The King of Minear's Son" was a pleasure to read. This unique fantasy follows the troubled Prince Taelor and his companions through unpredictable heartache and adventure. While this isn't typically the genre of book I read, I couldn't put the book down! Upon opening the book I was immediately captivated by the characters and story. I'm usually a very slow reader that procrastinates every book I read, but I was looking for excuses to pick this book up! I certainly cannot wait to see what R.J Passer writes next!

While subtly simmering in irony, you will encounter characters who boast a satisfying blend of flair and foibles. From an emotionally complex protagonist to a gender fluid hitman, the author's vivid creations immerse the reader in an intriguing land replete with an abundance of love and disloyalty. I absolutely loved this book!

The King of Minear’s Son was a very good read! It keeps your interest throughout the entire book which caused me to rapidly turn the page. R.J Passer has an unbelievable way of placing you in the story and surprises you with adventure around ever corner! This is a must read for all the fantasy and adventure lovers out there!

I have been long awaiting the release of this incredible novel and here it is! Without giving away spoilers, the characters are beautifully crafted and the lead character Taelor adds a level of "eye candy" for the reader. The story is gripping from start to finish, leaving you wanting more and you feel like part of the family. R.J Passer is a hugely talented author and this is her debut novel so looking forward to reading more enthralling and delightful reads ahead. I would highly recommend and I am blessed to have enjoyed such a wonderful novel.
