Worked to tamper sound in classic car
Used in door panels of our classic car. Adheres well and decreases road noise inside the car. A novice could use it.

Works well
This stuff is just too expensive if you ask me. But I don't feel like there is a better alternative on the market unless you get something thick. For a low profile, this is basically all I could find.

The Best for Slience in my BMW X5 E53
I have a BMW X5 E53, those of you have owned or owned this car know very well the feeling we get when someone closes the door hard or worse when its slammed. It started getting to the point where I began thinking that my 10 year old daughter was going to destroy the door each time she closed it. On top of that, as much as BMW's are "The Ultimate Driving Machines", they come with horrible stereo's and they are not sound proof, well at least my generation of BMW. So I decided to buy this after doing much research, as most of you know, for BMW's or any premium car that removing the door panels without breaking any door clips isn't easy due to the age of the car. After removing the panels, I installed the dynamat which was easy, even more easy of you have the roller which helps a lot. Now, let me first say that you are going to need two boxes of these in order to cover 4 doors on an SUV, also, don't forget to have a blade with you to do cutting, be very careful not to cut into any wires.I installed this on all of the metal on the door panel, with all of the left over Dynamat that was left from the cutting, I used it and placed it around the area where the panel clips go and also added it to the inner door area behind the panel. Now, this dynamat is much better than the original, the differences is that the original needed a hair dryer in order to smooth out the product and with this one all you need is the roller. Do you really need the roller? No, if you have time you can use your palms, or a rubber hammer, but it will be time consumming. Now, as I mentioned with age some door panel clips will break, for me the clips that hold certain cables/wires in place broke, so I bought some felt/plush tape and wraped the wires with that and it helped. As with other reviews, there was a major difference right away, the stereo sounded louder, clearer, the bass was hitting harder. After enjoying the stereo for an hour, I turned it off and drove around testing the road noise. It was an amazing difference in road noise, the car seemed much better and more enjoyable as the road noise was down alot, I would say 60 percent better than stock sound. What I loved most, the door shaking and the loud noise that the car door made was better, much better to the point that I don't dread when people close the door.If you have the time it's worth it, if you value your alone time when coming home from work or a stressful day and you need to relax in silence or to really enjoy your music at a low volume without road noise this is what you need. Also, I took a road trip with the family and my Wife and I always talk during all road trips and this was the first time we didn't have to yell or speak loudly when conversing, it's amazing...Don't think about it, just install it today.....

A classic and the best
I’ve used three other types of sound dampening products from different companies besides Dynamat , and every single time without fail I regretted not purchasing dynamat

Decent, I'd buy it again.
I bought this for a 2005 Grand Am GT1 two door coupe. I have an Alpine type R 12" sub in the trunk. I have it hooked up to a 500 watt amp. That said it hits like a sledge hammer. I believe the vibrations from the sub broke off the cheap plastic guides on the door window and kept me being able to roll the window up and down. After replacing the guides I thought it would be best and buy some dynamat to kill the vibrations in the car door to keep the plastic guides from breaking again. So I bought the parts to fix the window and the Dynamat through amazon and started on my project. I had help from a friend to take the door panel off and fix the window. I am in a wheelchair and that would have been to difficult to do that by my self. We also took the window regulator out so it would be easier to put in the dynamat. While my friend was busy with fixing other things with the window I figured I would go ahead and do what I could as far as cutting and fitting the dynamat in side the car door. amazingly it was quite easy. I did about 90% of the car door from my wheelchair. My friend did fit some pieces deep in the door where he could get to where I could not from my wheelchair. So after it was all installed and the door put back together, I was happy to have a working window again. My first car ride I noticed the speakers in the door sounded a lot better. I had deeper bass and a more focused sound. I have Alpine type R speakers in the front door as well. 5 inch woofer and a tweeter up by the window. I put dynamat behind the tweeter as well. I only did the drivers side door so far. I also have to fix the window on the passenger side. Same problem I had on the drivers side with the plastic guides breaking. As far as a quieter ride, Not sure about that but I have only done one door. When the sub in hitting hard, I notice the car door no longer vibrates and it is nice when I shut the door (as some one else has said in a review of dynamat) it shuts like a luxury car. One last thing is that I have two big doors. I have used over half of the dynamat in this kit for just one door. Not sure If I will buy more to finish the whole passenger side door or just use what I have and just get the dynamat I have left behind the speakers and other strategic places in the door.

Great noise reduction
Insulated a dishwasher enclosure that is in a kitchen island with thin trim panels on one side. This greatly reduced the noise transmitted into the room thru the flimsy wood panel. Adhered the sheets to the 1/8 wood panel from the inside of the enclosure, it didn’t add much thickness ( like adding foam insulation or a thicker wood )so still lots of room for dishwasher to fit. Very happy with the result.
