Optical Quantum Blue AZO CD-R 700MB 52X White Inkjet Hub Printable Blank Recordable Media Discs – 100pk Spindle for Music, Data, and Photo Storage

The package I got contained new old stock Taiyo Yuden discs (the good stuff) with a max speed of 48x. Burned fine on a SATA CD burner from 2012-ish and read on systems as old as a Power Macintosh 7300. (I would have tested on a Quadra 630 but it's in storage.) Not sure why other reviewers were having issues, but perhaps there are several different brands of discs being packaged up under this label and I got lucky.Update: After checking the serial number online I was able to determine these discs were manufactured in or around December 2006.I also ran one of the discs through imgburn's discovery mode and verified that they are older discs and may be near the end of their useful life. The rating has been updated to reflect that.

Today, it's hard to find a CD-R with high contrast dye. That's why CD-RWs don't play in old players: the contrast is technically there, but too low for old hardware to pick up. Many modern CDs seem to trend toward that line: that everything can read a CD-RW, so why bother making the dye very dark when written? Boo!These blue CD-Rs are such a refreshing treat. When burned, you can 100% absolutely see the patterns written in the disc! It's practically vinyl; you can see differences in tracks sometimes as well (not so much here). You can definitely make out the lead-in and lead-out though.These were burned at 10x on a recent HP USB DVD burner. Similarly burned on a brand new Plextor drive that only went down to 16x, my player wasn't able to read the full disc (it gets more difficult towards the outer edge of the disc). So, the burner and the speed DEFINITELY MATTERS. A LOT.Having a pack of 100 will leave me set for life, as long as I don't lose them. Thus I would buy then again if I needed to, but I probably won't! lol

Works as good as any product at any price. Good clean printing on disk. Use them for data and no problems.

Original order did not work in either of my computers. Replacement items did not work either. Finally submitted for refund.

These CDs do not record if your files exceed 600MB. Had to discard over half of the CDs.

The very first five (5) discs locked up during recordings. I will continue to pay a little more using name brands.

I'm halfway through the stack, and at least 50% have failed to verify after burning and had to be thrown away.

I liked these cd's very much, no messed up burns yet. I recommend these very much. shipping is a bit slow, because they are coming across the border US to Canada, no extra costs. paid what it said on bill. I recommend that u use a pioneer blueray external burner usb 3.0. if your computer has no internal burner.

As they were about half price of the other brand names, so far I have not had any issues with these discs.

1 package maybe 1/4 won't burn :( I can't tell you which, I've ordered dozens! Usually FANTASTIC! ***
