Awesome tire at a great price
First off, buy this tire you won’t regret it. Running these as a front tire on my 26” MTB/occasional dirt jumper. Incredible traction in sharp turns, and braking. Only weak point I’ve found is riding on bigger gravel, and even then not bad. Absolutely recommend these for anyone looking for a cheaper but still high performance alternative to Mavis tires.

Great grip on rock, hard packed dirt, dry roots and Dirt with gravel surfaces
I ordered the 26" tire for my full suspension mountain bike, and I run this on the front. My rear tire is a cheap one, and is pretty worn out, and will be replaced tomorrow after Amazon deliver my new WTB rear tire (nice upgrade from the old one). The good thing about having the bad rear tire was that the contrast in grip was huge. I regularly felt the rear end wash out while this front tire just stuck to whatever surface, going exactly where I pointed it. I put 48 miles on this tire on my first ride, and are very pleased with the purchase. Note - I haven't tried it in muddy conditions, so I don't know how it would fair in those conditions. It did grip really well in a rocky creek crossing. It is great on dry trails, and I am happy with my purchase. Time will tell how quickly it wears out, but that's up to how many miles you ride and how aggressive you ride. I recommend it for XC riding - single track trails with different types of terrain. It also works well on dirt roads and gravel trails. It also gripped well on a single black diamond downhill trail.

Grips the trail and is stable in loose dirt/sand
First, I gave this 4 stars because I've only rode with it once since I put it on, but so far I'm liking this tire. I noticed a huge improvement on the traction over my old, 26"x1.95" MTB tire (unsure which make/model of that tire). The trail I ride on has some loose dirt/sand that's a few inches deep, and my bike feels a lot more stable. I have better control turning on pavement as well. For anyone with the same bike, mine's a 1990 Novara Arriba (REI) that came with 2.1" wide tires, and these 2.3" fit. Look at the picture and you'll see it's a close fit between the forks. I'm good with that because I'm not usually in any mud. IMO nothing bigger will fit the bike.I added a picture of the whole bike so you can compare the 2.3" on the front and the 1.95" on the rear.

Great climbing tire
I don't choose a tire by name but by tread patterns that have a history of performing well, in a desired median. I bought a 26x2.3 for a good climbing tire thru technical uphills and it hasn't disappointed. Wish it gripped a bit better over wet uphills but that is asking a bit much from any tire. We will see how well it holds up over time and punishment.

Nice tire
Actually a great tire for the price. Forget that nonsense from the guy that says it’s a 27.5 tire. Well, the diameter is about 27” , it’s a big tire...That’s you are setting up a bike computer or display you need to measure the actual circumference because it varies a lot..Like my rear tire, 24.8” is close to 26”, just measured diameter. Which reminds me to input correct millimeter circumference. And for the person that doesn’t know any better, I can see where the confusion comes. Buy a 26” rim and measure it, it’s more like 22”....

Not so good
Not what I thought these tires should handle over some serious lrg rocks and corning with loose gravel with leaves covering the trails not so great but im still playing with air pressure on these tires if there is a change I will update later?!

Really good winter tire.
I put this on the front of my 29er hardtail for winter trail riding that has way more leaves everywhere that hide some obstacles and makes the trails and turns very slippery. the tire does give me more grip and allows me to corner and turn the bike better than the Maxxis IKON I was running in the front. The only thing that bothers me is that when you lean the bike over the grip is there strong but then it disappears without any warning. All in all if your looking for more grip it's a good tire. I'm not a fast rider but I made KOM on Strava on part of my local trail on my 3rd ride with this new tire so I'd say that the new confidence has made me faster than before.

Fit much bigger than my last 2.3
Ordered these to replace my last set of 2.3 tires. A set of continental vertical protection pro's. Comparitively they have a significant increase in overall diameter and width. I have them mounted on 1 inch rims and they are chonky. Not complaining as the weight difference is small and I ride technical single track mostly. First impression is they ride as advertised and needed to adjust my rim centering so the wouldn't rub the frame. Clearance is every tight compared to my last tire. The compound seems to stick well on steep downhill corners though I am not riding high speed like west shore stuff. Mostly loamy forest trails with rain washed corners consisting of crushed gravel of medium size. Overall impressed with the tire.
