Even my beautician wants to try it.
I’m giving Laritelle Sensual Bliss shampoo, along with the conditioner and pre-shampoo strengthening treatment, 5 stars not because it’s magically stopped all my excessive hair loss. Not because I’ve suddenly grown a luxurious mane of hair. It’s getting this rating because I truly believe the shampoo, in combination with the other two products, is absolutely making a difference, even though I’ve used it for less than a month. It’s getting the highest rating possible because I feel that this company believes in its products and the hope they offer to those experiencing hair loss. And I think they are a group of people with integrity and honesty at their core. At least this is my opinion after several communications with customer service. I am a middle-aged woman who has been experiencing an unusually high rate of shedding for the past 11 months. There are health issues, medication side effects, and genetics all playing a role here. And that’s quite a challenge for any product. But I KNOW beyond any doubt that there has been a reduction in hair loss of approximately 15-20% because I am one of those “counters”. Yep, I count ‘em. Not every day, but I don’t need to. A single glance at the brush, the sink, the clothes… I know when it’s going to be a bad day. Laritelle is the first all-natural, organic hair product I’ve ever used. Fortunately, my closest friends run with the “organic/green” crowd, so I’ve had a little experience with essential oils. But, if you’ve never had that opportunity, you may find the natural fragrance of Laritelle to be unlike that of commercial products. To me it’s earthy, herb-like; sort of like a deciduous forest floor after a rain shower. . There’s also a difference in viscosity. Since Laritelle uses no artificial ingredients, including thickeners, it is a little thinner than the typical brand shampoo. Because my hair isn’t very “porous” it's harder to wet it down and work up a lather. I have to be more patient waiting for those bubbles to form. The first indication that something was changing was when, around the 6th day, my husband commented that my hair didn’t look as “flat”. He said it didn’t look “over conditioned”. I never knew he thought that in the first place. The real eye-opener came around the 11th day, when I went in for a haircut. The lady that cuts my hair had just started combing through it when she suddenly stopped and asked, “What have you done to your hair?” Uh oh. I replied (nervously) that I’d changed shampoo and conditioner, and was there something wrong with my hair? She answered, “Your hair feels so healthy and alive. This is the hair of a 12 year old girl, not someone our age.” I was genuinely stunned. I had been so focused, for so long, on how much hair was falling OFF, that I hadn’t truly noticed the condition of the hair that was still ON my head. She then asked me to write down the name of the products and where she could buy them. I wish I could say that I know for certain these products will continue to slow down the hair loss, stop it completely, and then the process of re-growing all that I’ve lost will begin. I can’t say that because only time will provide the proof. But I have shared with you exactly what has happened to this point, and that 15-20 percent reduction is very, very real. One last thing, I cannot begin to convey how wonderful the customer service is at Laritelle. I’ve had more than a few questions to ask them, and the lady that I’ve been in contact with via email has the patience of a saint. She also has such enthusiasm for her company’s products and the whole natural/organic movement. I believe this is a company with ethics. Their packaging is earth friendly. Part of their net sales goes to a wonderful charity. And they so believe in their products they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Even if ultimately their products cannot help me, I will still buy the shampoo simply because I’ve become utterly addicted to the aroma and the way it makes me feel - just plain happy. (If I lose all my hair, I'll just walk around sniffing the bottle.) I love this company's line of hair products so much that I purchased three of their facial care items. They should arrive in a week or so. Good luck to all of you, or your loved ones, whoever is suffering with hair loss. It certainly is not the worst that can happen to a person, but it is still a tough thing to deal with.

Worth a try, not for every hair type
I wasn't sure that it would actually work better than the organic hair care that I'd been using for nearly 10 years, but I believe that it does. I'm losing about half of the hair that I was before starting with it a few weeks ago. I have a LOT of hair- down to the middle of my back, so it takes me about 15 pumps of product to clean and condition. It seems like a lot, but it's worth it to me IF it makes my hair stay attached to my head. The essential oils give it an earthy, woodsy, sexy smell. Think Woodstock. I never imagined spending this much for hair care, but as long as it keeps working, I'll keep buying. Update: after nearly a month, I am returning this product and going back to Giovanni Smooth as Silk. For the price, I just cannot justify continuing to use this brand. I had less hair loss the second week, but now I'm losing the same amount of hair. Also, I had to up the use to 20 pumps of conditioner EACH TIME I WASH. I would honestly need to wash my hair with this every day to prevent my roots from looking greasy. I've been washing every other day and my hair does not look it's best. If you can afford this product, then it's worth a try. It may work better for your hair type than it did for mine.

Herbal scent and it really works in the long term use
This shampoo smells amazing. It’s a natural smell so it doesn’t smell sweet or like any other shampoo I’ve used before. It literally smells like plants/herbs which I love. The product is runny and not thick in anyway so I have to be careful when using it or it might spill off my palm. The shampoo will not foam much if only a little but it really leaves my hair clean. I have long thick wavy hair that reaches my waist and I use about three to four pumps of the shampoo. This size bottle lasted me about five months. I used it with the conditioner and it’s not even halfway through. I use only one and a half pumps of conditioner. So I sought after a shampoo and conditioner that would help my hair not fall off and get so oily. I have dandruff so I used head and shoulders for the longest time but then my hair started getting oily, my hair was drying out, getting frizzy and I still had some dandruff after a shower so i had to start washing my hair twice. My hair also tangled up badly. I started applying Aragon oil in my hair after showering and it worked for a while but I wanted a change. I decided to try this organic shampoo and there were great changes for my hair. After the first wash my hair was shiny but not oily and no dandruff in sight. I didn’t even have to apply Aragon oil to my hair anymore. It was easier to brush my tangled hair. My hair was limp though, so I used less conditioner the next time around and that fixed the problem. My hair still was turning oily by the end of the day and so I started using more shampoo so foam would visibly foam up. This only led my scalp to start breaking out and getting itchy. So I limited my shampoo to two to four pumps. My scalp recovered and so I kept using both the shampoo and conditioner for five months and now my hair doesn’t get oily and is soft and shiny. I still loose hair but it doesn’t bother me as I’ve always seen it as normal. I did start losing more clumps of hair when I started using this brand but my hair seems to fall less now. I don’t struggle to untangle my wild hair after a shower thanks to the conditioner. I really love this shampoo and conditioner and even though it’s expensive I’ll try to save up to buy it when I run out. I love my hair and this shampoo is bringing my hair back to how it used to look and feel when I was a teen. I’m in my mid twenties and get stressed more often so it takes a toll on my hair health. I recommend anyone to try this product and see if it helps them after using it for five to six months. I saw instant improvement after the first wash but my hair kept getting better the longer I used it.

the shampoo is great and everything but the smell
I am writing this review specifically for the "sensual bliss" scent. the shampoo is great and everything but the smell... it is horrible. It smells like burnt rubber or plastic which is not soothing at all. Thankfully the scent doesn't last a whole lot. Only about 15min or so but is still unbearable. Also the price is extremely high. 40+ dollars. I realized there are other scents too and will probably try them out but so far the sensual bliss scent is no good. Would not recommend this scent at all

Cured my dandruff
59 year old male, standard traditional hair cut, ninety percent of hair remaining on scalp. As a person who has an extremely bad case of dandruff, I was willing to try anything to get rid of it. I tried the top three heavily promoted anti-dandruff shampoos -- you know the ones that make your head tingle -- but believe it or not, it just made condition worse !!! In fact, each time I used these my head felt dried out and a burning / raw sensation. My condition got so bad, that I got large patches of crusty skin all over my head. In a last ditch effort to solve this problem, I tried to scratch it off with my fingernails which somewhat worked, and did reduced the dandruff flakes, but this left behind scabs / sores where I scratched it off. At the peak of my condition, if I wore anything but a white shirt, it looked like salt was heavily sprinkled on my shoulders and chest area; consequently, numerous times I had to rush into public restrooms and remove my shirt and shake the dandruff off it. So, just as I was about to give up, I found this product. I ordered a 16 oz bottle of the shampoo and conditioner which arrived promptly. The first thing I noticed was the clean and fresh smell of the shampoo....simply wonderful and pleasant. Now the review of the actual product contents: Conditioner: This stuff works great !!! In fact it works too good !!!! This conditions your hair so well that it no longer has any body what-so-ever !! Works great for short hair, but anything else your hair just blows around in the wind. A little goes a long ways, so a 16 oz bottle should last a long time. Shampoo: Great natural clean crisp pleasant smell that last about one hour after you shampoo. Doesn’t lather up much, which can make you use too much if your not careful. One full pump on each side of my head seems to do the trick for me. Makes my hair feel fresh and alive !!! No tingling, itching, rawness, burning...... just normal !!!!! From the very first shampoo the itching stopped; Within one week my dandruff disappeared; Within two weeks my crusty patches disappeared and my sores healed. Now, I’m not a religious person, but as far as I’m concerned, what I experienced was a modern day miracle......I’m cured !!!! Lastly, during these two weeks I shampooed daily, but now that I’m cured, I now shampoo every three days.

Works moderately well.
I would say this works moderately well. The first shot is from 3/20, when I first began using the shampoo and conditioner. The 2-4 shots are a month later. The last 2 shots are from today, 15 months later. I have been using the Sensual Bliss the entire time. I’m not sure I would describe the scent as overly sensual. It has an anise or licorice scent. Pleasant and unusual. It does strip the hair some, but my hair does feel thicker all over my head. Today, I began trying Fertile Roots. The scent is much fainter and herby. I’m not sure if I’m okay with it. It, also, was immediately noticeable that it strips my hair much faster than the Sensual Bliss. I’ll use it until it’s gone but won’t be ordering more unless it’s exponentially better with results.

Not worth it.
So I originally gave this shampoo a 4 star rating, but I made the mistake of rating it only after 2 weeks. I am now changing my rating to one star, after a few months of washing my hair with this. The smell is about the only nice thing about this shampoo. It is VERY drying, turned my hair into a straw mess. I considered shaving my entire head to fix the damage because it was so bad. Literally adds no volume to my hair and the worst part, I experienced MORE hair loss. Every time I used this shampoo, clumps of hair would wash down the drain. The conditioner is even worse. For any of you struggling with hair loss, I reccommend shampoos from the brand Lush. They've helped me and many other women from my hair loss support group. Just make sure to buy it from the lush website as it's far cheaper and better quality. laritelle was not the answer for me and a waste of money.
