MPOWER Perfect Butt Profile Scriber

I don’t know this product existed, I didn’t know I could scribe a line so easily

Bought to transfer curved side of a boat to a cardboard template. This works great, it,s easy to use, and it is accurate.

Perfect Butt Great idea, nice tool, very well built. I used it (so far) to scribe shelves to a wall that must have been built by a framer on crack. The scribes were perfect and the shelves look great. The only thing about this scribe that I would change would be to include smaller (much smaller) "wheels" for scribing very close to the wall (for walls that are fairly straight). The instructions say that you can do that if you turn the scribe upside down but the bottom has a fairly large diameter so, without removing the snap rings and taking the thing apart, I'm not sure if that's feasible. I like the tool and I'll use it again but I'll use another technique for scribing closer to the wall.

My stairs are curved and wanted to install retro-treads to restore them. Contractors were confused on how they go about tracing the treads to size (it is a bit complicated). I asked them to use this product. It made the job much easier. This product saved the day!!

Love this tool!! I am a trim carpenter and scribing is a constant part of my job. I have the accuscribe tool also which in combination with this tool will make any scribe an easy task! Smallest diameter is 1&1/8 so the closest point of your scribe must be furred out at least 9/16.

Items worked OK for me. It is fast and fairly accurate but still leaves corner areas un-marked and you must "slop" that in by guessing where the line should go. I used it to mark wall board where it meets a curved bathtub ledge and got by OK but overall I could have done as well by just using a regular pencil held on top of a small block of wood. Knowing what I know now... there are cheaper and better things available when you consider how often you'll really use this thing.
