Q: Can it be used on a spray paint that has the big white spray tips?

The maximum diameter tip that will work according to my measurement is 1/2 inch. The gun has a circular grip feature that grabs the formed metal lip in the top of the can and won't allow a larger spray tip without preventing the gun to grip the can lip. Been using mine for 2 years now and never had any spray can that failed to work with this gun. If you have a different cap, just remove it and substitute a small standard cap that is 3/8 inch dia by 1/2 inch tall and it should then work fine. I hope this helps.

Q: Does this work for the small nozzle?

Goto any hardware or auto parts store near you and look at a can of Rostoleum or canned auto paint and compare what you have to the top of the can and the nozzle used. If your can has those same features, this can gun will work for you. Good luck.

Q: Can you do small burst with it to write names on the road?

As far as writing names, yes you could do that. . . You control the flow of the paint with the trigger. Note here. . . This will Not fit all brands of spray paint. Some sprayer handles fit Inside the rim, others fit Outside the rim.

Q: is the spray wider than using the can without it?

No, not wider or different. All this device does is allow youth pull the trigger to spray, instead of trying to hold the nozzle with your finger. Just test it out on a piece of cardboard first. You will not feel any discomfort if you use the can gun.
