I bought this for my elderly mother who spent her life as a master cosmetologist hair dresser and I thought the rose was appropriate for Valentines Day. I wanted it inscribed to honor her 50th year anniversary as a hair stylist. She owned her own business and our family survived because of her dedication and hard work with my father didabled. So, I wanted something nice to commemorate all of this. This company stayed in touch with me from the beginning and assured me that they could inscribe the item exactly the way I wanted it. I received it today and it is heavy crystal and it is beautiful. The lighted stand makes the rose change colors. It came in a fantastic fancy box with silk interior to display the crystal and the stand for the recipriant. And to go the extra mile they even included a Valentines Day bag with the gift. I am very satisfied and I know mom will love it. She's proud of her lifetime skill as she should be and now she has an award to remind her that I am proud of her too!

This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not sure how they can engrave into the center of a piece of crystal, but the effect is quite beautiful. The rose looks 3 dimensional and with the lights shining through it, every detail of the petals and leaves show. The mirrored base reflects the lights so that makes it even prettier to watch as it spins and changes colors. The crystal is larger than I expected and it's flawless. There is not a single scratch or even a bubble that shouldn't be there. It is polished to a high shine and reflects the light beautifully. Pictures really don't do this justice. If you are looking for a special gift for anyone in your life that you care about, this would be a great choice. Everything about this Philosphers 3d Laser Cut Crystal Rose and it's Revolving, LED Lighted Stand is High Quality!The Laser Cut Crystal Rose Piece measures 3 1/8" x 2". All Edges are Beveled to reflect the light and the Rose itself is Intricately Detailed.The 1 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide Rotating Mirror Topped Base features 4 LED Light Bulbs which are safely and completely encased in it's center.The Silver Tone Base Unit operates by way of 3 AAA Batteries (Not Included) OR you can Plug the unit into any standard American wall socket, using the Included 6 volt Power Supply.The 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" Power Supply includes 48" of Well Insulated Cord, so I am able to put the Base on my nightstand and plug it into the wall outlet near the floor without issue.The Bulbs alternate in Color when the unit is turned on using the On/Off Power Button located near the bottom of the base.As the Mirrored Portion of the base Rotates, the colored lights Fade In and Out, causing the 3d Laser Cut Rose Design to light up, as well as refract the light onto the walls in the room.I find it truly fascinating to watch the colors change and see the different dimensions which have been Laser Cut into the 3d Blooming Rose with Stem and Leaves Design. This will make a wonderful gift! When it arrived, it was packed in a heavy black box lined with a shiny black satin material. The base is gray and has a mirrored top. There is a spot where you can put batteries, so this can be put anywhere. It takes 3 batteries, but I could not see where it said what type. It is either AA or AAA. I used it with the cord, so I did not test the battery function. There is also the on/off button in the base. The crystal is very smooth sided and has beveled corners. It is heavier than I expected it to be. When you place the crystal on the base and turn it on, it slowly turns continuously. The light fades out from one color to the next, in four different shades. The light either is off or it is changing, I would have loved to see an optional setting where you could have just one steady color of light or just lighting up with no movement. The light reflects off the design inside the crystal and makes it look very 3d. This item feel like a very quality made product and I am sure any recipient would love it. My pictures don't do it justice, but it gives some idea of what this looks like.I received this item at a discount in exchange for using it and providing my honest, unbiased feedback. I received this crystal at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review. And my honest opinion is that this is a beautiful gift to anyone who enjoys a hint of whimsical in their life. I purchased this product for someone who is very special to me and she thoroughly enjoys it. The crystal is very well made and the rose simply looks beautiful. However, she is only displaying the crystal on her desk and has put the rotating disk in the miscellaneous drawer. Not because it doesn't look nice, it really does, but because it is rather noisy when you keep it on for a while and it becomes a little annoying after a bit. But the crystal is very pretty and she has it in her office now and received a few nice comments about it already.
