I bought this for my mom for religious purposes and she loves it. She uses it 3 times a day and it’s been about over w month of hwe using it.

I love this mala. It was larger than I expected and a couple of the seeds are misshapen but it's beautiful and great for japa. Very comfortable to hold.

Do not purchase unless you get your kicks by sniffing paint fumes. I had this necklace in the plastic bag it was packaged in and the Amazon shipping plastic bag on my desk. I come into my office the morning after placing it on my desk and am strangly reminded of something by the smell of my office. Took me back to my childhood at my grandparents cabin that was all cedar on the inside and heavily laquer finished to seal it. Its so strong that i can taste it in the air and my coffee even is tainted with the essence. I put it outside and am paying the UPS people $8 to come pick it up so I dont have to have it in my car. This is one way to wake up you senses in the morning that I do not recommend. EEEWWW

You would not believe how bad they smell. My whole body told me it was not healthy to smell them. How is anyone supposed to pray with toxic of a smell?!?! I tried airing it out and putting it in a box with a strong, enjoyable smell and it made no difference. Now I’m afraid to order another one. This might be how they make them.

Only got to use it for chants 3 times & it tore easily into 3 pieces with the beads falling off. To get some use from them, I just placed them on my altar. The string is extremely frail & possible is dry rotted.
