It’s just too big for the size of blocks of cheese available in a grocery store.

I don't usually write a bad review, but this was used 3 times on soft cheese and the wire broke. Won't waste my money on another one. If it broke on soft cheese, hate to see it with fruit. Would have given a zero star but had to put something.

Oh it's sturdy enough - my gripe is the design - the wire is set higher then any harp I've had in the past so the wire will not cut to the bottom and so it takes either picking the block of cheese off the cutting board or breaking the slice of cheese which then you have a ragged edge. But bigger is, it did not even cut through a block of hard cheddar - it was bending the wire so badly I had to stop and use a knife which of course a knife does not allow you to get a thin a slice - I have had better or else I would not complain...

I lost the pins on the first one I bought, so I ordered a new one. It's a great product. Having some kind of stopgap would be nice, something to keep the pins from falling out. I also have no idea what size replacement wire to purchase. Otherwise, Love this thing. It stores flat in the drawer. Easy to clean.

Would prefer a smaller one. The old ones worked much better. The wire was thinner. But, better than nothing.

Cheese and roll of polenta, cuts beautifully.

It broke the first use. They do not tighten the wire enough.
