I saw another product like this about 15 years ago and I have been looking for them ever since. When I saw these, I figured that for the price, it would be worth trying to see if they were up to par. All I can say is that I wish I had a bigger pot to boil water for resetting them!! REALLY REALLY considering other products just so I have more options for knees and shoulders. These stay hot or cold for the recommended 15-20 minutes, so there is no over-treating. It makes 15 On / 15 Off really easy!Out of the entire set, there's only one I am weary about starting the catalyst because the seam is really close to the edge - easy fix to iron the seam - No problem! The catalyst is easily triggered once "popped" for the first time, so you have to be careful when handling them, but they work EXACTLY as expected and it's SO nice that they are reusable - no more overpriced single Hotties packs.I am SO glad I found these!

Like other reviewers I ordered 6 and got 12. That's quite a value for about $20. In the past I had ordered bigger pouches but they got a little too hot for handwarming. These don't last long so you may need to activate two in a row, but I like the heat output better.I have trouble snapping the metal disc to activate (compared to other heat packs). But usually it goes off while I'm attempting to snap, so it's fine.I've recharged with boiling water on a stove top several times now without problem. Do not use a microwave -- even inside a bowl of water. You might think it will be faster and easier but it is not and you will rupture the pouch. I know; I've done it several times!Get the water to a boil before adding the pouches, which will keep them from sticking to the bottom. The water will stop boiling immediately after adding them but will start again fairly soon.

These work for just about 15-20 minutes (as claimed) so if you are looking for longer heat, look somewhere else. The snap disc doesn't always work the first few times, but if you keep snapping it, it will. They take longer to boil and to return to a usable state than stated as well.

these are fabulous. when i first got them i couldn’t get a few of them to activate. i snapped the coin multiple times and nothing. then i noticed it’s just really squishing the liquid onto the coin- then wow! so easy. they heat up fast and stay hot for more than 20 minutes each. i’m using them as heat compress for injury/detox. they are perfect. would definitely recommend and would definitely buy again if needed. resetting them is as simple as boiling. have used multiple times. love them!

These are a great size for these reusable hand warmers. They heat up quickly and the colors are nice. However, the heat does not last very long. I walk my dogs about 30 minutes each day. Any the time I get back home there is little warmth left. Overall, good price and works well enough.

I love them but they last 20 minutes (which is stated) but after the first use they become alot easier to activate. I dropped one and it actived once it hit the floor. It seems to be the disc just needs a small touch to activate after the 1st use after boiling them and after cooling I bumped into one and lightly touched the disc and it went off. They give off a lot of heat for a short period of time. Just feel like they are always goin off when I move them.

I had a different brand that I wore out, so purchased these as a replacement. The button is very hard to click to activate this brand. They do not get as warm, and they don't stay warm very long. Do they work? Yes. Are they convenient? Yes. They're just a step down in quality from my previous brand, which I can't find anymore. I'll use them until they wear out and am thankful to have them, but they aren't the "wow-how-can-I-live-without-these" that I had hoped for. Now they're just okay.

I noticed some comments about these being hard to activate. I agree the first activation was difficult, but once the crystals have been activated once, future activations are really easy. You don't even need to to click the disk, just rub it slightly and the pack will be activated. To get the first activation I used the flat end of a pen to push the disk to make it click. I use them to warm my steering wheel. I wish my steering wheel was heated, but since it is not I use these to warm it so I don't need to drive with gloves. I also use them inside my gloves when running in cold weather.
