Comfortable especially with wide size
My wife has several pairs of Asics for running and walking. However, she has MTP joint pain (enlarged on the ball of big toe). So I bought this wide size for her walking and sometimes running. She feels very comfortable with the bigger room and cushion is good enough. But Asics Novablast has better cushion. For the price, it is well worth the purchase. And it is 10 bucks cheaper than Asics site

These sneakers changed my life
Due to a serious health issue, I had to re-learn how to walk. While I was able to progress from wheelchair to crutches to "on my own", I was not "sturdy". I could walk in the house, and a bit on pavement, but not on grass or anything uneven. Plus, my legs had trouble supporting me.I had always been a pronator, and these sneakers were recommended. I took the time to go to the ASICS site, and evaluate the right size. Their charts worked perfectly. It took about a week to break in the sneakers, wearing them around the house for a few hours a day. And then, the BIG TEST....thanks to these ASICS sneakers, I am now "sturdy". I can walk on pavement, and on the grass. I don't yet have the overall strength to hike, but I am encouraged that by walking every day in these sneakers, I will get there. I can feel the "even-ness" between my legs, and my feet are well supported. I am up to walking 2 miles a day and hope to get to 5 miles a day by summer, and these sneakers are a large part of my success.

Amazing shoes!
I have to say out of all the different types of shows I’ve tried for my over pronation these are the absolute best over ever had and will never have any other shoe again! They’re so comfortable durable and give me so much support I can’t even tell I have over pronation! ASICS are awesome!!

COMFORTABLE
These Sneakers are great! They're saving my feet from disaster. ASICS has designed genius footwear. The front of the sneaker widens out at the front where your Phalange and Metatarsal bones meet. I have a bunion and these Sneakers saved my life. Excellent overall foot support, especially the heels and instep of the feet. Comfortable for long walking and stylish. One of the vest investments I've ever made. More than satisfied with these sneakers. If your feet hurt, your entire body hurts. It is worth it to invest in quality footwear. Thanks ASICS. Finally the correct footwear for my ailments.

Gloriousness!
Heaven for my feet!So my podiatrist ALWAYS urges me to buy the Kayanos. Being that he’s a world class marathoner (Boston, etc more times than I can count, & every other marathon you’ve ever & never heard of) & has his own set of foot problems, I tend to listen to him. Also, I couldn’t walk anymore due to a traumatic arch drop (new weird alignment pulled my knees out) until I got orthotics from my Chiro. Those enabled me to walk with pain. Then I discovered my podiatrist a few years later & with his orthotics & the recommended Kayanos, I CAN RUN! I’ve a done half marathon & more sprint triathalons & 5-10ks that you could shake a stick at. Which, when you think you’ll never walk again, is as glorious as a normal-footed person running the Boston M, imo.But I digress. All that being true, you might be surprised that I hadn’t gone back for my yearly $350 (after insurance!!) orthotics or purchased any new Kayanos for the past few years. Why?Because the Kayanos were so HEAVY, & both they & the orthotics were so expensive. I’d always joke that my orthotics were the best million dollars I ever spent, lol.I’d fallen in love with feather light Sketchers walking shoes & my orthotics seemed to be doing ok.Until they weren’t.My, this is becoming a novel! My knees started pulling out a few months ago again, I couldn’t find a close replacement for the best sketchers walking shoes ever because I didn’t have the model name (seriously, I closed down Disneyland the last week it was open in those Sketchers— walking & standing all day!).So I finally got new orthotics ( which this year were only $40! Behold the fickle nature of medical insurance— though I’m sooo not complaining!), & my Podiatrist laughed when I told him, after his shoe recc, that the Kayanos were too heavy.Sooo, I started looking at these guys. Then I stood in flip flops on a squishy kitchen Matt for hours to make my son’s b-day cake & my feet went numb from the ball to the toes on both sides, & my sciatica is worse now than during any of my pregnancies, which was the worst ever up till then.So I finally bought these Kayanos & as soon as I got them, took out the sole, put in my orthotics & strapped them on.Sooo cloud light! So squishy & lovely to walk in & stand on, from heal strike to roll through to push off.The combo of orthotics & Kayanos is GLORIOUS MEDICINE for my feet & body!It took over a week & a half of walking around with the combo on for feeling to come back to my feet/toes.Sciatica still gets bad, but usually after me wearing no shoes or naughty shoes (anything but this combo) for a day or 2.I’m Sicilian, I’m about being barefoot or in sassy shoes by nature, so I’m a bit naughty sometimes with my shoe choices, but then I pay for it & an all kinds of recommitted to my cloud-like orthotics/Kaysnos combo. Until my pretty shoes or none at all start singing to me again & the process starts over. But these are hands down, far & away TGE BEST Kayanos I’ve ever had!And they’re so dang cute!I got the glacier colored ones & they’re so subtly silvery & saucy. So I don’t hate the look, I actually love them! But, you know. My fabulous shoe collection is a love affair I don’t want to give up until I absolutely have to.$160 is no joke for shoes, but I can now say that these guys are the second best million dollars I’ve ever spent.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ESPECIALLY if you have plantar fasciitis, nerve issues, or other foot/leg/hip/back problems!

Good, not great
For me this is one of my least favorite Kayanos since 17, when I started wearing them. Biggest thing is the heal cushion at the top has been rubbing my ankle. I am happier with the overall fit of the 28 but they seem cheaper made than the 27. The 28 is has a squishier sole, which is good but not, because it could change how you run a little. 27 feels more structured, and narrow. 28 in the size 7 fits a little shorter than I am used to also. The toe box is a smidge taller in the 27 than the 28. Neither is as tall as it used to be. My big toe nail pokes up a little even though I get a half size bigger for the purpose of running.

Very comfortable shoes
Great shoes. I'm recovering from a serious ankle injury and they are just the best for walking and exercising.

Good support
I was worried at first that they would be too narrow but, once I had adjusted the laces, I found them very comfortable and supportive. I previously bought Allbirds and found them too soft. I particularly like the extra balance the gel in the heel provides.
