This is refreshing, and a little bit perverse, and I love it!
I think we're all rooting for Mayumi and Rin. I'm hard pressed to think of a better couple. They fit together perfectly, and they compliment each other's personalities and demeanor. Now if these two can just find the courage to tell each other how they really feel. On another note, the (now not so) secret romantic relationship and love affair between the half-sisters Ashima and Sakura is taking some interesting turns. Also, a classmate saw them being intimate, and reported it to the school administrator! Ashima unfairly gets all the blame by Sakura's mother. Now, the two girls want to take the money Sakura has been secretly saving, and run away together to the city! They're young, and in love, which in of itself is wonderful, but the fact they are half-sisters adds an exciting mix of the taboo to it. However, since Ashima has been made perfectly clear that she is not loved or wanted in her home, Mayumi and Rin step in with a solution that works for everyone, save Sakura. She's furious Ashima moved out, and is even more angry that her parents won't let her follow after Ashima, the girl she loves. On another front, the "friend" that ruined Mayumi's life in the city (she's actually a terrible person) which caused Mayumi to come to Seagull Villa, has located Mayumi. Her name is Touko, and she really is an awful woman. She's tracked down Mayumi, intent on bringing her favorite toy back to the city. She immediately sets out to create a rift between Rin and Mayumi. It isn't made clear in the story, but I think that Touko at the very least suspects what's going on between Mayumi and Rin, and that just will not do. Not at all. I think we are going to find out that Touko either secretly has had feelings for Mayumi, and wrecked her life out of spite, or she's just obsessed with Mayumi. Maybe both? I don't think Touko is going to go away quietly. Oh no, not at all. It's gonna be A drama-llama-rama and Touko will be the ringleader of it all. Come on, we all know the story is headed that way. There is no way Touko will just simply go away and leave Mayumi and Rin alone. Let's just hope Mayumi and Rin can stick close and deal with the problems together. After all, they're perfect for each other. Mayumi is finally, actually, truly happy for the first time in her life, and Rin, well, Mayumi is EXACTLY what she's needed. Mayumi brings her great happiness. I want nothing but good things for these two, as well as Ashima and Sakura. Touko, however, is a different kettle of fish. I hope she takes a long walk off a short pier and leaves Mayumi and Rin alone before their budding love can be torn apart.

The backstory of Ashima and Sakura
I liked the first volume of Days of Love at Seagull Villa and the second volume is a strong argument that this will prove a very good yuri series. Mayumi is starting to realize she has romantic feelings for Rin but our main couple take a backseat to Ashima and Sakura, two of Mayumi's students. There is a big issue with them; they are half sisters; Ashima is the daughter of the mistress of Sakura's father. Sakura's mother now takes care of both and makes it no secret she favors her daughter. The two girls have friction but also a closeness that suggests shades of Citrus. As for Mayumi and Rin, there is a hint that the next volume should be interesting as Touko, a friend of Mayumi's has shown up. It was because she got pregnant by Mayumi's boyfriend that Mayumi came to this seaside location. Days of Love at Seagull Villa boasts fine writing and art along with an intriguing cast; it is definitely a series yuri fans should check out.

A great yuri slice of life series continues
This book picks up where the first volume left off, with Mayumi continuing to settle into country life while her relationship with Rin develops. We also see more of the two middle schoolers, Ashima and Sakura, and see more of the background behind their relationship. And of course, Mayumi's "friend", Touko (aka the woman who stole her boyfriend) is always lurking in the background...This is a great follow-up to a great first volume. Author Naoko Kodama is a master of heartfelt yuri melodrama, and Seagull Villa doesn't disappoint. If you've read her series NTR: Netsuzou Trap, you'll see echoes of those two main characters in the two middle school girls in this series, and that's not a bad thing. I can't wait for the next volume.

Has Potential, but Frustrating
The story follows a teacher leaving Tokyo for a remote village to escape her past. The relationship between and the owner of the villa begins to grow, and she is beginning to fit in to her new life. However, a person from her past pursues her to the village, apparently with the intent of persuading her to return to Tokyo. But this person is deceitful and cruel. But the protagonist says nothing, and allows this person to begin to tear down her life. There is no reason for this to happen, when the protagonist could simply explain the truth to her family and friends. Instead, the situation becomes much more complicated and stressful than necessary. It's very frustrating, and I'm not going to pre-order the in the series. I'll certainly check reviews first. I can't recommend the series at this point.

👍💯
Great romance manga but also lots of drama and intense moments between the characters. All in all, a good volume to the series, eager to read volume three.

Schöner 2. Band
