Mixed Chicks Gentle Kids Conditioner with Safflower Seed Oil for Soft & Manageable Hair, 33 fl.oz. / 1 Liter

We've been using this product with my two sons for years, pretty much since they were infants. They are 4 and 5, and they are mixed Black (3/4) and Japanese (1/4). Both of their hair is very long with tight, defined curls. We put in the product after washing their hair and use it as a leave-in conditioner, and their hair stays beautifully curled all day, and I'm pretty sure this conditioner is also a big reason their hair has remained so healthy.If they put on hoods or helmets (which they do, often), their hair gets pretty flattened, but a few spritzes of water from a spray bottle totally reactivates it, no problem. We also don't wash their hair every day, but we'll add more conditioner in each morning, and it never seems to get too heavy or weighed down.The conditioner has a light, sort of coconutty smell that we enjoy--and this comes from a mother who is super sensitive to strong smells (on the verge of allergic to them).CAVEAT: For my older son, it's the only product we need. My younger son's hair is a little more coarse; while the Mixed Chicks Kids conditioner works fine on him, too, we find that it doesn't hold the entire day like it does with my older son, so we supplement it with a light gel for mixed kids.Note: I've tried the product on my own hair (I'm half Black and half Japanese, with long curly hair, softer than my boys'), but I find it doesn't work for me.

This conditioner really helps moisturize and detangle my hair!!! I love it!

My daughter is bi-racial (3/4 white, 1/4 black). Her hair is very long, straight and super thick just like mine. Her father is bi-racial as well and his hair is soft with large banana curls. My daughter's hair is not course and doesn't have any curls at all but it was always SO HARD to brush because it would easily tangle, even after the shower and letting conditioner sit before rinsing. It felt like I tried every product from Walmart brands to professional salon brands - Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave In Conditioner, Detangler, Oil - and just nothing worked. Brushing her hair after the shower always had tears and brushing it while dry just wasn't an option. I found this product on a random blog and thought it was worth a try. The packaging may look cheap and kind or sketchy, but I swear this is the best stuff ever! The entire line is beyond wonderful and it smells so great!! I tried this on my daughter and on the very first use - TANGLE FREE BRUSHING!! I've even started using it for myself. This is worth every single penny and I'll use it for my daughter forever. The only downfall is that it's only available in a few locations.

This is a great conditioner for kids with curly hair. Works great and very happy with the product.

Perfect for both my kids...one has very curly hair and the other has very straight hair. I am mixed but my husband is not and our girls hair varies.*edited 6/17/17: I wanted to add my statement to the comments about the pump on the bottle. The actual product is amazing but the bottle does just suck. Dear Mixed Chicks....PLEASE GET THIS FIXED

I typically use the adult version of this conditioner, but decided to try the kids version for my last order. It works just as well as the adult conditioner and is something that my kids are happy to use as well. I appreciate that it is a deep conditioner (I leave it in for at least 5 minutes) that does not have a scent to it. To style my curly hair I rinse this conditioner out, twist out the extra water from my hair and then apply a dime sized amount of this conditioner throughout my hair and then let my hair air dry. My curls turn out beautifully and I don't need to use too many products :)

Let me start by saying that we love this product. My daughter’s hair is really responsive to this conditioner.However, we routinely run into issues with the pump bottle. I think the product is too thick for the pump itself. The most recent delivery has a totally inoperative pump. Even when the pump works, after about half the bottle, you have to massage the product around to reach the pickup. I finally got so frustrated I attempted to move the product into a different pump bottle, which worked to an extent but was very time consuming. I think a squeeze bottle would be much more effective than a pump bottle for this product and I hope the manufacturer considers updating the packaging.

Great curly hair de-tangler! Shiny. Not very fragrant, but clean smelling.

I love this conditioner! Great for very dry hair and grey course hair too! Leaves hair very soft and easy to brush. You don’t need to use much so the large bottle lasts a long time. So glad I found this amazing product!! 5+ stars

Great product can be difficult to get the last quarter of a bottle out, i find i have to water it down a bit or go for the tip method (seems to get thicker). However it is great for my daughters hair, it feels so soft and easy to comb through after washing.
