Great boots
Instant comfort. Didn’t break in to be too loose. Tread is great. Used them brand new out of the box for 10 straight days of hunting, and I walk. Fairly water proof. If your still walking in standing water your feet will get wet- snow, rain morning due all no problem.

Great boots comfortable
Great boots...a tad tight but that's to be expected with leather...they will stretch and fit perfectly.

My favorite lace ups
This is my 3rd pair. Last two pair each lasted 6 years before they leather started to fail. Only lace up boots I will buy. Worth every dime. The first pair I had were the older style that had the goretex branded lining, only stayed waterproof for the first three years. The last pair only stopped being waterproof in the last few months. I wear them to work, hiking, hunting, and they get a lot of miles on them. After the insoles break down I put Georgia Amp insoles in them and keep on wearing the boots. I highly suggest them. I will say watch yourself on ice or wet tile when they are brand new, but once you’ve worn them for a week they are fine. You can also sipe the lugs to help on ice.

SIZE RUNS SMALL
After reading some of the other reviews and owning a pair of insulated snake boots by the same company I decided to go with a little longer boot in the wide. As it turns out I made the right decision. I probably could have gotten by with a 12 DD, I’m sure they would have left me very little room at the toes to play with. I ended up getting the 13 DD and I feel like that is going to work best for me. These boots run smaller in the width than other boots do. That’s why I gave them a four star instead of five. The Sportsman’s Guide was great to work with, I had no problem at all getting my order. I hope this helps and by the way the boot is very well made. I would buy them again.

Break them in!!!!!
I took them out the first time today. Did a 4 mile 1700ft elevation hike today. I have massive blisters on my heels. They are comfortable and they kept my feet very dry. But they need to be broken in. I seen comments that say you don’t need too and they must have gotten lucky because I definitely need to break them in.

Nice Boots
Really like these boots. Fit is a little bit on the small side, I had to return and reorder but for the quality/ price it’s worth it. Nice leather seems well made. Glad I bought them.

Waterproof Failed
A little over 2 weeks into using these and a small amount of water managed to penetrate these waterproof boots.First time encountering water and the boots look basically brand new. It’s unfortunate as they were very comfortable and seemed to be good otherwise.I am not sure if this is a defect, but I don’t feel like trying again.

Worth it.
This is my second pair. They are the best hunting boots I've ever owned. Worth every dime. They fit a little small so make sure to size them correctly. They also take a while to break in fully so be patient.

Very narrow for a 2E
This model is vastly narrower than the 600gr insulated ones, I even went a half size bigger in case. Nice boot but fits very differnt than other models of the Elk Tracker.

Quality of product has gone down hill
Irish Setter has been my “go to” boot for years. I ordered the same size as all my previous pairs. BUT, since manufacture has moved to Vietnam, quality has gone down hill. These boots fit for length but are really tight across the instep. All previous boots fit perfectly right out of the box. I will not buy Irish Setter again.
