My husband loves cooked pudding so I keep extra on hand

This has become are go-to desert during Covid-19. It's super easy to make, very inexpensive and sooo sooo good. To turn it up it a notch, pour it into a chocolate pie crust. Very yummy!

Good value for a great product

I used to love Jell-O pudding for many years. I used to make the "instant" version that didn't require any cooking, but decided to try this as I figured it would come out to a better consistency. I was indeed right about this having a great consistency (it thickens quite well once chilled), but the chocolate flavor isn't very strong - I occasionally even notice a "stale" or "cardboard"-like taste with this one, with just a "hint" of chocolate taste. It isn't very dark, either, when looking at under bright light. In the future, maybe adding some extra cocoa powder would enhance it.When cooking, you DO have to stir constantly (as it says) to avoid lumps and/or scum. A few lumps and scum did initially appear in mine, but I was able to work most of it out. When cooling, I did put the plastic wrap on top as advised, and this eliminated the issue of scum I generally have with this sort of stuff.On its own, I don't think I'd buy it again. Only giving 3 stars due to its good consistency and sweetness.
