The illustrations are bright and engaging and the story clearly explains what missionaries do. Additionally, it is in English and Spanish, which is a bonus! This is an educational book that can be very useful.

This book does a great job at teaching children what it means to be a missionary in a fun way! It also teachs children some Spanish words and sentences along the way! The illustrations are so beautifully done and I love the bright and cheerful colors :)

This book is wonderful in so many ways!WONDERFUL STORY: It teaches children about missionaries and how they help the world. It also inspires children to have faith and look up to someone, like Kai.MAGICAL ILLUSTRATIONS: The beautiful, colorful illustrations are quite magical! The illustrator did such a wonderful job illustrating the beauty of "under the sea", fish, sea creatures, animals, and more! The author explained everything with such care from her heart.EDUCATIONAL: I loved the bilingual map showing the names of oceans, fish, mammals, and animals.TALENT DISCOVERY: Kai helps Yan and Ari learn about hidden talents and how everyone is special. This is illustrated beautifully showing different fish and sea creatures playing instruments, singing and painting.SEEK N' FIND: There is an adorable jellyfish hidden on lots of pages, so there's an opportunity for a seek n' find game.BILINGUAL: Kids can learn words in English as well as Spanish. The whole book is presented in both languages.Overall, just a wonderfully educational, fun and beautiful book for children of all ages!

I was excited to read the book "Kai, the Missionary Sea Turtle" to my kids. The first thing that caught my eye about the book was its incredible illustrations with a bright, cheerful palette and adorable sea creatures.When we read the book, I was pleased with the story of two small sea turtles who are speaking with a visiting missionary sea turtle named Kai. Kai carries on a conversation with them and explains about many of the jobs that missionaries have, as well as the training that goes into becoming a missionary. The sea turtles, as well as readers, are inspired by the message that people can be missionaries by vocation, but even kids can be missionaries to the people around them by sharing the Good News with their friends. Such an important message!Another aspect that I loved about this book was the bilingual vocabulary. Many sea creatures and instruments are labeled in both English and Spanish. At the end of the book is a bilingual world map with other animals and places labeled. What a great learning tool for kids!This book is definitely a keeper! Amazing book! This book is great since it teaches children about God and the roles of Missionaries. Not only that, but because it is bilingual, it allows children to learn a whole different language (Spanish)! Through a fun and entertaining plot, kids can enjoy following along as they learn. There is also a map of the earth, countries, and some of the animals that each country contains - which shows children the name of each animal, country, and even sea in Spanish. You will find 2 pages at the end including some tips on how you can teach your children about missions as well. Definitely recommend as it is a useful tool for learning Spanish/English and about missionaries.~Camila from Minty Kidz.

"Kai The Missionary Sea Turtle | Kai la tortuga marina misionera" is a cute story written in both English and Spanish. The English words are written first, directly followed by the Spanish translation underneath or to the side. This was a nice touch for kids so they can see the direct translation of the words. The story begins with the sea creatures wondering who the special guest at church will be. Finally, they meet Kai, a missionary sea turtle who explains that he is a missionary who spreads the gospel of Jesus. Kai explains the different things missionaries do and the children wonder if they can be missionaries too.This book can bring up great discussions with children about how to help and serve others. There are also cute little extras in the book like finding the jellyfish on each page. There are missionary facts and a Christian parenting page in the back of the book, also in both English and Spanish. There is an adorable bilingual map at the end of the story with various words with animal, ocean, and continent names in English and Spanish which would be great for learning for kids.This book would be a great resource for Christian churches and parents.

It’s absolutely crazy that there is a book out there that is in Spanish and english AND is about missions. Like…what a very specific and narrow audience LOL. But as a member of that tiny audience, I am so grateful. The colors are gorg and the story is adorbs.

I like the colorful illustrations. I like that it is bilingual through and through. I like the Spanish and English labels for different animals, instruments and places on the map. Great to add to Sunday school library.

I loved the history , and the way that encourages children to share Jesus and know that everyone is chosen by God and can serve him with the talents that each one has

A beautiful read, that kids can relate to. Fabulous description of what being a missionary and a Christian is. This book would be such a wonderful addition to a Sunday school class!

Such a cute bilingual book. I like how in addition to a story under the animals is the word in English and Spanish. Such a great touch to a bilingual book. It's like a picture story book mixed with a kids visual dictionary. I also like the visual dictionary world map at the end too.
