Really cool gardening kit
Really cool gardening kit! I live in an apartment and don't have space for a garden- but I do have a planter which I can roll inside or outside to the patio- I also don't have time or patience to figure out how/when to grow plants although I really enjoy having live plants around- this kit makes it super easy- it comes with a cute pamphlet that explains when, where & how to grow each plant, everything fits in the box so until I was ready to plant I just stored it away. Really excited to see the results!

A Fun Way To Learn About Sustainable Gardening
This all-in-one seed starter kit is the perfect set-up for any novice gardener. Included are five packets of easy-to-grow non-GMO heirloom vegetable seeds (Black Beauty eggplant and zucchini, California Wonder pepper, Italian large leaf sweet basil and beefsteak tomato). Each packet contains a minimum of ten seeds, but I count more than that per packet. The seed count works perfectly with the 50-cell germination tray that contains paper plugs already filled with quality soil. Thirty garden markers help keep track of what’s planted. Yabani (formerly Black Skillet Seeds) leaves nothing to chance; they provide clear-cut growing instructions from seedling through harvest. Also listed in their little booklet are serving suggestions, nutritional data and oddball facts.I received my starter kit at a deep discount, but considering what’s included, the current price seems reasonable. I like that the seeds are heirloom seeds and non-GMO, and I look forward to seeing how the veggies turn out as I know heirloom plants, or "old-time varieties," grow into various colors, shapes, and sizes, unlike modern-day seeds you might get at a garden store. I really like the Care Instructions pamphlet, which gives detailed information as well as nutritional information, serving suggestions, and "weird facts," such as that eggplant has been both "glorified as an aphrodisiac and dreaded as the cause of insanity."My only concern is the number of pots/seeds. I live in a small apartment. I don't have my own balcony, just the balcony that leads up to my apartment (second floor). I could probably put a couple pots out there to grow once the time to transfer comes, but I wonder if the company could develop an herb kit, which may be easier and less intimidating for busy apartment-dwellers in the city to grow.Overall, I really love the idea of a kit to make ratatouille, one of my favorite dishes. I hope that I am successful in growing the plants as I look forward to using the vegetables in my own homegrown ratatouille dish!
