Knit Along with Debbie Macomber - The Shop on Blossom Street (Leisure Arts #4132)

i loved how the pattern book reflected the story that goes by the same name. the pictures were beautiful and the step-by-step instructions made me feel, as a beginner, that i could produce these same treasures. after reading each book, i am now anxious to start working on the same projects that lydia held classes in.the corresponding patterns books are a must and i highly recommend them. they will extend the stories that you have read.

I love her knitting novels. This book with the patterns from her first knitting book is super. Some of the patterns are a little challenging for a new knitter, but there are a few that are reasonably easy. The book is in an attractive format with very nice full color pictures of the projects. There are quite a few patterns included along with some knitting instructions. This is really worth the money.

Macomber's 11 patterns for baby afghans is lovely! The recommended yarns are easily obtainable and affordable. The variety of afghans can be for babies, toddlers and could easily be altered for adults. I gave it 4 stars because the patterns were a little difficult to follow because of the formatting on the page and the lack of charts - the one I am working on could have been easier to follow if it had a chart - I had to retype the pattern to make it easier to follow. Do not let this discourage you from purchasing the book - just an observation and recommendation for future books!

After reading the Blossom Street Books, I had to buy one of the knitting books. I ended up buying two! This book looks wonderful and the pictures are beautiful! I used to knit, but have not in years and years. I am going to begin again, with lessons, and also take my granddaughter with me! Thanks for the wonderful book!!

Everything I thought it would be. Excellent condition too

I like that the patterns are in a larger type size than most patterns, and that the Knit Along is a high quality book. And it's great that the patterns in the Knit Along closely follow Debbie Macombers first book, Shop on Blossom Street, so that I can knit the blankets that are discussed in the book.

made quite a few of patterns really pretty easy to follow patterns

Since I'm a beginner, this didn't have enough detailed information to start a project. The illustrations are beautiful though. When I get a little bit more basic knitting, I'm sure this book will come in handy.

This is an easy to follow book with great projects in it. I'm so pleased I bought it.

I was very disappointed in that I did not think the entire pattern book would be baby blankets.
