My Mom is bedridden and I have to feed her. Every once and a while she will start to choke on food that was too thick for her. This was the easiest way to clear her throat and quickly. So happy I found this product.

I wanted this item in order to remove thick mucus from my mouth and throat as I’m on a G-tube and can’t moisten my mouth. This item has vey little suction when I can get it to work, doesn’t take the fluid into the container and then leaks it back out of the tube. Great concept, poor design. As hit or miss as this is I’m sure I could not count on it for an emergency. Also instructions are vague. I can’t return it as I’m very ill. Please don’t waste your money, look elsewhere.

Does not really work.

I'm an EMT, I was trained how to use a suction device. It was easy to put together, and easy to understand. I tested it in a jar of water, and it worked better than I was expecting. It seems to be well built. It comes with a large tube for Adults, and a small tube for children and infants. The large tube is quite large feeling, so depending on the amount of *ahem* liquids you're suctioning, you might get away with using the smaller tube on some adults as well.Its really nice to have, but I hope I never have to use it on someone!

Tested it with a cup of water as shown in a you tube video and it worked very well. Used it on a trip to the doctor with my Dad and it worked fine on the way to the doctor but stopped working on the way back! Will try once again with a replacement container and tubes that I also ordered. Definitely hard to use for an elderly weak patient. Someone else has to pump the handle while the patient is using it.

Used product for suctioning out saliva in my dogs mouth. After about two weeks, it quit suctioning. Is there a way to fix it?.
