love it
I like this book. This book is for adult eye only. It very sexual and dirty. All the people from the last 5 books are in this book. In the beginning a woman meets vampire at the vampire's friend bachelor party. Vampires are making to noise at the hotel. So the hotel calls the police. The woman is the cop. The cop name is Lara. The vampire that she meets name is Jack. When Lara comes to hotel, she was going to arrest Jack. But Jack mind control her partner to not arrest him and to forget they were ever there. Then Jake try to mind control Lara but it not work. Jack never gave her his full name at that time. But he said him and all his friends were scots. The next day, she went all the scotish wedding to find him. But lucky there was only 3. She found him at the last wedding. The wedding was for the people in the previse book. Toni and Ian. She found jack in the back of the church. She went to him. Jack start to search her purse. He found her uniform, a bra, her handicap, and gun. Jack hold bra and gum hostage and put everything else back. Lara asks if he can give her stuff back. Jack said no, I am not going let you shoot me. Lara said then can I have bra back. He just shakes his head no. then he said to her, I need to search you. Are you wearing one (a bra)? Lara just gave him dirty look. This so dirty and totally wrong. I wish this happen I real life. If you want know more of this part of the book, you just have to read this book. You should read this book. I couldn't put the book down.

A Sexier Secret Would've Been Nice
I've read all but one of Sparks' Love at Stake series and have to admit, this one wasn't my favorite. I enjoy the series and think they're usually fun, romantic reads without a whole lot of darkness in it, despite the vampires. This one fell short for me. Jack, son of Cassonova and burdened by his father's legacy, is hosting a bachelor party for the soon to be wed Ian and Toni from All I Want for Christmas Is a Vampire (Love at Stake, Book 5) at an exclusive hotel, but as it turns out, vamps can't hold their blood fusion drinks and the party gets raucous enough that hotel security calls the cops. Unfortunately for Jack one of the cops that arrives on scene is Lara Boucher, former beauty queen, former car crash survivor, and totally immune to his mind mojo. She's tenacious, relentless, inquisitive, and the most gorgeous female Jack's ever seen. But he's lost loves to the truth of his existence before and he's not willing to risk trusting another, not even the woman who quickly steals his heart. When Lara, trying so hard to be a detective, stumbles across the case of disappearing college girls and all the witnesses have that same sort of vagueness that she'd seen Jack force onto others, she suspects the handsome...if bizarrely powerful...man is up to the sort of no good that ends in blood and death. Or he's an alien. Possibly a superhero, though. She's not entirely sure. He's either the sexiest good guy she's ever seen...or the sexiest evil guy she's ever met. Can either one of them ever learn that to love is to trust and not trusting...could end in death?I had a hard time with Lara's character in this one. I liked her in the beginning, but by the time she finds out what Jack's deal is, her ideas and thoughts about it had become preposterous and her reaction really disappointing. For a woman trying to be a police detective, she didn't strike me as very mature or intelligent. I also didn't find Jack to be as appealing as some of the other lead males in this series. I didn't have any real complaints about his character, but there just wasn't anything all that compelling about him. And all the 'bellissima's and 'cara mia's and 'merde's got old far before the middle of the book. It was like the man couldn't start a dialogue without some Italian saying. That was a little too Gomez Adams for my tastes. I could have forgiven a lot of all of that had the pair had some good chemistry between them, but while it was okay, it lacked a lot of the passion and sense of fun, along with the fiery heat that others in the series shared. That aspect was particularly disappointing. This series has never been a heavy hitter in regards to plot, overall it's more chick lit than complex, and that's not a complaint - I love a good light romantic read...with fangs. In this one though, the plot and even the dialogue seemed a bit too unsophisticated and unrealistic (relative to the genre) to really impress me. Again, nothing horrible...except maybe that whole Greek God thing. That didn't work for me. Still, the development of the relationship wasn't as romantic or sexy as I'd hoped, and the story didn't progress as well and wasn't as good as I'd hoped, and the characters...well...sorry, but they weren't as appealing as I'd hoped. I wasn't bored while reading it, but I wasn't wowed either.

Excellent!
Jack aka Casanova's illegitimate son is a vampire but he doesn't follow in his father's footsteps; he actually wants to find love with the right woman. Jack is helping MacKay S & I while Ian goes on his honeymoon; but the night before the wedding he throws a bachelor party that gets slightly out of hand & the police show up. That's when he meets Officer Lara Boucher & finds out that neither him nor Laszlo can control her as they can everyone else at the hotel, Lara's partner & the EMS responders.Lara knows that there's something strange about Jack when she 1st meets him; so much that she tracks him down by going to 3 different weddings with Scottish names in the wedding party. She even with the help of her BFF tries to find out more about him & tracks him to Roman's townhouse wherein her BFF & her try to get some answers. This book was excellent in that it had a mystery, good vs bad plot, a fight scene, some sex scenes, lots of vampires both good & bad, & fast-paced action. But, you will have to read the book to find out what happens next as I won't tell you anymore about what happens.

Perseverance
Great story about a vamp recreating himself and a young woman who faced death and came out better for it. Numerous funny moments and true romance. Recommended HEA.

This is the second time ive bought this book.
This booke ive owned one in paper and once in electronic form. I read my paperback till the bindings broke. The realistic emotions and character development makes emerging myself in the story easy. The steamy scenes are nice too.

My Favorite in the Series
I loved the Romance that this book had. I didn't think I would like to hear Jacks Story, but he replaced Ian as my favorite Hunky Vampire. I also liked how this series had a little more adventure in it when it came to Lara being kidnapped later on in the book. It also didn't really follow the formula the author has been intriguing me with, which is a nice pace. Lara didnt know that Jack was a vampire. She fell in love with him (resisted like the heroins in this series do) then right at the end when she gets in trouble, realize she is head over heals for Jack. Spoiler alert they fall in love and get married....typical, but I know its romance and I love this stuff.

Kidnapped women and police heroine
This book sees vampire Jack helping police officer Lara find missing kidnapped students, victims of mind control by malcontent vampires.. He's attracted to her because she can't be controlled, though she's nervous as she knows something is different about him.Romance is high here as Jack teleports her to Venice to woo her , but still finds himself acting like a novice around her. We meet her BFF LaToya also a cop and more about the wolf shifters.Sexy, fun. And full of danger but great wit surrounding the villainous cult.

I loved this story
Delightful storyline, I had such laugh with Jack and Lara, really funny and very romantic storyline.Just this one made me cry out loudly lol“A new bra?” “Nu-bra. Polyurethane cups that stick to your breasts. Now back to my original question—-” “They stick to your breasts?” He looked appalled, then focused once more on her chest. “Surely you did not glue them to yourself?” “Of course not. There’s an adhesive backing.” He grimaced. “Like duct tape?” “Would you please stop ogling me?” He lifted his gaze. “But when you rip them off, does it not hurt?” “This is entirely inappropriate.” “Scusi, signorina, but it is entirely inappropriate for you to harm your breasts. They are very sensitive, no?”The conversations and monologues they have are brilliant lol it's always a fun to read the book's in this series. Thanks for the entertainment Mrs Sparks
