I really enjoyed this book! It's so much fun, with its recipes for vintage Christmas treats and its talk about vintage collectible Christmas items and decorations. The author tells amusing stories about each item, so that makes this a entertaining book to read.You may remember some of these recipes from your childhood, and some you'd rather forget! The Cornflake Candy, Creamy Eggnog, and Haystacks are not personal favorites of mine, but they are holiday musts for a lot of people. I definitely want to try the Ageless Ambrosia and the Orange-Slice Bars, and several others as well.The book has lots of beautiful photographs of both the food and the vintage items. The expert layout design by Deberah Williams contributes many cheerful pages with bright colors.If you are interested in starting to collect vintage Christmas items or in adding to your existing collection, the author provides tips throughout the book, as well as a resource page at the end.I found this book to be quite amusing and helpful, too. It has definitely already made my Christmas season a merrier one!

This book takes me back to childhood; I can't wait to try the recipes!! Right now, I am enjoying the photos and the decorating ideas. I am driving my daughter crazy with, "Oooo, I remember these and your Grandma made those!" Perhaps I will get this for our library...
