I will be honest I was not expecting a professional camera for the price so Im not going to hard on it for that reason. Just keep in mind, the battery life isn't very ling and it does not bring an external battery charger which means that in order to charge the battery you must plug the actual camera into the outlet. Also it can be a little bothersome to sync the sd memory and you might have to insert it several times in order for it to read it. Other than that its a good little starter camera and a champ for a novice like myself.

This is a good buy for the money. There are 2 things I would have liked. It only zooms x16. I should have purchased the x32. That's on me for buying this one.Also, I wish it had a way to keep the time and day so I don't have to reset them every time I change the big battery. My old camcorder had a button cell battery to hold the date and time while I change the big battery.

This camcorder does everything the previous model does with some nice improvements and added features! This is great because the more fps the better the image should look due to the more potential details being captured per frame and the more frames that are captured. It can still do 1080p at 30fps and the other lower resolutions as well. Also the menu and the touch sensitivity feels better on this new model than the previous one, BUT it sometimes can be a bit unresponsive when trying to scroll up or down so the remote control is still great to have when navigating the menus. Every setting now stays the way you want it when you turn it off and back on so no more constant having to change settings for certain options like the previous model, BUT the EV setting still goes back to default which is 0 when you turn the camcorder off and back on. This can however be easily adjusted by pressing the power down button to lower the EV and/or the up button to raise it. This new upgraded version still has the same great accessories that the older model came with like the microphone for great audio and the handle for better stability. I can honestly recommend this camcorder over the older one due to all the improvements it has made and the added recording features it includes. Anyone who wants to get into recording videos and great audio for all types of social media will do well by choosing to purchase this camcorder especially with the awesome night vision that it has and improved from the previous one due to the higher fps! Even if you eventually upgrade to a new camcorder later on it will still be a great backup for different perspectives and views while also providing an emergency option if your other camcorder ever failed. I suggest to give this camcorder a chance if you are undecisive about what camcorder to buy because it is a great and reliable option that is affordable compared to other brands and options while still giving you a great image and experience!

This Kicteck 4K Ultra HD Video camcorder is a good value for the price, but it has some issues. The first problem is that it does NOT work with any external mic (that I can identify) except its own, and there are times when an external lapel mic would definitely work best. The good news is that the mic it comes with works pretty well. I also experienced the issue of the battery running down rather quickly, and also, you have to wiggle the charger around in the port to make the connection in order to recharge. It's also disappointing that it doesn't come with an SD card, since that's essential to its use. But I appreciate that it does come with a case, lens cap, extra batteries (camera and mic), external mic w/wind screen, and flare hood. All in all, a good buy for the money, but if you're about serious video, you'll have to spend $$$ to get the features this camera is missing.

Wow. That’s originally what I had planned on saying, but then this would be a very lousy review. So instead, I’m writing about why I say wow (yey). When I first figured out that we were going on a trip in the summer (hopefully), I instantly thought of vlogging. There was just one minor issue, I didn’t have a good vlogging camera. My phone has low storage, —16GB—, and I’d already used most of it. So using my phone wouldn’t work. My next option was an actual camera. I had only mentioned the fact that I wanted a video camera a few times to my dad. And now here I am, with a video camera, which I got for my birthday. I was eager to throw open the box and mess with my new device. I had to wait a whole day, however. Once I did open the box, I was amazed. Sure, there’s a lot of parts in it. But those things are important. I knew what most of the parts were for and where they attached to. Then there was the actual thing. The item I’d been waiting for. The camera. I immediately started to press buttons. I figured out that the OK button switches between regular and night vision. And that the up and down buttons change the brightness. The hood is great for more detailed shots. You can also change how the white-ness is handled. Sure, the zoom feature jumps one by one, but that’s fine. And you can turn off the sound it makes when it zooms in the Menu. The many options for taking photos and recording videos are very helpful. May I suggest a color filter option? For those who want to take shots and record with a color overlay. This camera has everything I’d need to vlog!
