I'm a great fan of hot and sour soup so when my favorite and closest Chinese restaurant closed I decided to learn how to make my "fav." soup and of course Amazon was my first choice as to where to shop for the ingredients.

I love this mushroom pack!! It’s pricey but it’s tasty.

Very well packaged in air tight container! I use one or two mushrooms daily to make a cup of hot tea. Save the mushrooms from tea to use in another dish later. So, far, the tea taste a little mushroomy but not too bad. These are so flavorful, and so easy to use! Took about 20 minutes in warm water to get reconstituted and ready for ramen. Yum! Very convenient to have them in pantry for quick stir fried dishes.

These were very tough before a thorough soak, very hard to just cut. Even after I soaked them, I cooked them a bit more in a tomato sauce. I used them in lasagna, and they were beautiful, their essence permeated the entire tray.

I’m sure it’s a failure on my part, but i can’t tell these mushrooms apart from the ones i can get at the local Asian market. Perhaps a palate more refined than mine can appreciate the difference.
