These are working nicely for general household applications: dusting baseboards, hard waxing furniture, decrudding fridge coils, etc. Use these where you previously used worn out cotton undies, but can't do that anymore because the synthetics in underwear nowadays makes them worthless for second life applications. They are substantial enough for taking grunge off car dashboards, too. My kids are grown now, but these would have been handy for dealing with a great variety of kid messes. I can't comment yet on how they hold up in the laundry, but they seem tough enough for a few washings.

I’ve purchased these shop towels for the past several years from this very company. Having decided on using as few paper towels for ecological reasons I decided to switch to cloth rags. I have been so happy with the thickness, absorbency, and durability of both the blue and green rags I have never had to seek elsewhere. I use them for just about everything I clean, sometimes even the dogs! I eventually thin them out after a year and purchase another reasonably priced batch. Red was new, so I decided to switch out. What a disappointment. They are as thin as when I am ready to throw the old rags away. They have little absorbency. I can’t imagine that the red ones alone would be of such poor quality so I am assuming the company has cut costs by reducing quality. And let me remind you of red dyed fabric. I decided to wash these separately in plastic bucket. Red dye came off into the water and would have discolored whatever I might have thrown into the machine with it. I hope the company responds because I really liked the quality of the ones I purchased before.

I mean, they're shop towels, so what can I say? LOL To be more serious, though, and more specific, these towels arrived quickly and I feel they are "as advertised," and a good value. Yes, they do have some strings, but again....shop towels. I bought them to use as cleaning rags around the house; since they suit my needs, I have been satisfied with the purchase. I will probably buy again, and would certainly consider buying from the vendor again.

What did they do, send me the rags out of the scrap pile? Very poor quality. Thinner than T-shirt material, can hold up to the window and it looks like cheese cloth. Smaller than described, about 6-8 x 10 at most and all different sizes. Lots of loose threads. I'm not talking 1 or 2 loose threads. Groups of 20 or more threads in bunches. If I cut the loose threads off it will unravel into a big hole.Shop rags are purchased to be used right out of the package with no questions asked. The shop rags I received would not be acceptable by anyone as they are mostly useless. The only option the seller gives the buyer is to return them at buyer expense for shipping to receive a refund. So my only recourse is to leave this review.Next time I'll just go to Horror Fright and purchase shop rags that I can see with my bare eyes. I have been purchasing from Amazon since the late 90's and over the past few years everything about it is falling apart and they don't seem to care. Worthless reviews, shabby products, shyster sellers. I saw the same thing happen with Ebay and stopped buying and selling there almost 10 years ago. Will I be saying the same thing about Amazon soon?

These are just what my husband needed to work on his bikes. He's a cyclist and at least twice a week is washing and tuning up his bike or out kids' bikes. He kept stealing my bath towels, so I decided to order these for him. They have worked out great for cleaning up his bike or any other garage messes. The fabric is soft and absorbent, with secure stitching. With the 25 pack, he can keep the dirty ones in a bag and I can wash them in a separate load so I don't get grease and grime on other laundry.

I wasn't expecting high quality at all, but I thought they would have a little substance. I was shopping for cleaning rags to use for bathrooms, kitchens, dusting, etc. They are the consistency of cheesecloth. Hold them up and you can see right through them. No absorbancy. Once wet they smear green dye as well so if you must buy them, make sure and wash them first.

I’m disgusted that a company would send product like this out. These towels seem to have been used. Some are a bright white while most are dingy. Most have multiple stains. Some have pulling. All have pilling. In an attempt to become a waste free kitchen I opted for these towels because they had good reviews and they were a good price for the money. However clearly they’re not. I don’t want towels I’m going to use multiple times to come to me like this and in a condition which I’m sure after the first wash they’ll fall apart.

These towels work great! Following the suggestions from earlier posts, I washed the towels first because I ordered the red towels and wanted to prevent any bleeding. I use them in the kitchen for cleaning up messes so I don't stain my dish towels or use an abundance of paper towels. I have tile floors in my kitchen and dinning area and these towels also work great for cleaning the floors. I know they are labeled as auto-mechanic shop towels but they are a great use for any aspect of cleaning! I would recommend these towels to anyone looking for a good set of clean up towels.
