I can’t believe I finally bought myself my very own zafu and zabuton. After ten years practicing Buddhism, its about time! I love these cushions. They are sturdy, comfortable and come in a variety of beautiful colors. The zabuton cover is washable. Unfortunately, the zafu cover would be more challenging to launder as there is no second, inner lining between its and the barley hulls. So to wash it, you would need to empty all the hulls into a separate container, wash the cover, let it dry 100% before adding the hulls back into it. That would be tedious and messy. The zafu is overfilled at delivery so it is easy to adjust for your particular weight and preferred firmness by removing barley hulls as needed. Again, a bit messy, but once it’s done, it’s done. The fabric on both cushions is a bit rough, but I would prefer that just something soft and slippery. Once you sit down, you don’t move again unless you want to. No shifting on slippery fabric. These cushions are great imo.

I'm a long time mediator, but always sat in the hard floor. As I've aged, I need support for my joints, as my practice is longer. I was a little wary of the price, but it is very well made, with sturdy fabric. The zafu was high, so I opened the zipper, customizing the height and softness.So comfortable it makes kongs sits easier. Thank you!

It is perfect. I love the color, the feel and the size

I’m very pleased with this set. It’s comfortable, looks and feels well-made. So far so good. If I can remember, I’ll add something later on. The biggest test will be how long it takes to wear down the cushioning. Sitting on it everyday, who knows. But I’m very hopeful. Many people had theirs for quite a while.

First off this is a great meditation cushion set. But get it directly from the company. Amazon sent me the wrong product and it was impossible to get a replacement for the same cost (I bought on Black Friday) so I contacted Bean Products themselves and asked for help. They went above and beyond to get me the same product and gave me a discount to match the price even though they weren’t liable, Amazon was. They’re a small company with two guys running the whole thing, Amazon takes a huge percentage of the profit from the sale, and when they sent me the replacement it was clear I had gotten one from Amazon that had been used- this new one is far better quality and sturdier packaging. Bottom line: buy from Bean Products directly.

The Zafu is the perfect height for for me and it is filled enough to maintain it's shape well. A lot of cheaper ones are more like bean bags and don't support weight well. The Zabuton has a removable cover which is nice when it needs to be cleaned or I want to throw it in the dryer to tumble to remove dog hair or lint that transfers to it from the carpet. The seam stitching all seems strong and no fraying on the seams that I can see. I am very happy with the quality and the value.

This is a great set. The zabutons cover can be taken off to wash. I wish you could do thr same with thr zafu. Unzip it and you have a mess of the filler material.

The Zafu is very comfortable and the well sized. The cushion was soft and comfortable for my knees. I was impressed with the material. It seems quite durable and small enough to tuck away in a corner. The colour is vibrant. Great overall.

Highly recommended. The hemp version is well worth the extra and the overall quality is at the highest level. All you need to do is sit.

The product had some solvent smell to it that dissipated after awhile
