Second one I bought now. Extremely quiet but so powerful it makes any bubbles on a lower height tank, quite loud! Easy to unpack, set up and get going. Few accessories come with like airlinev& stones. Minimal maintenance. Power is excellent. Durable as I’ve split the lines at least 2-3x and no hassle. Airline that comes with is the soft bendy one so no good for me but excellent air pump. The functional use of such a straight forward pump is great. No fancy lcd screen or anything, just pump clean air and be quiet. Is quite tall but hides easily amongst cupboards, units etc. wipe down to remove dust and that’s it. Knob to adjust speed and vary a lot which I like. I keep maxed but if I need to turn off or reduce during tank maintenance, I can. Will buy a 3rd and 4th for my other tanks. Not needed to do any maintenance after 6 months so far

Ive had some many different pumps, but this has been the best one. The fact you can run your filter and an air stone off it is great. Its quite and you can control the flow from it also. I still use a flow clip on the air filter also. I now have 3 of these in my shrimp tanks. They are very quite unless you have something touching it then obviously your get vibration noise. Great value and quality, easy to install, i have no regrets.

Had this running a couple of months now and all good. Was very easy to set up and the air flow is good, giving lots of bubbles through 2 large flat air stones. Claiming it is “ultra silent” is a bit much (hence 4 rather than 5 stars) but it is the quietest of 4 pumps I’ve had. The aquarium is right by my desk where I work from home and the sound doesn’t disturb me at all. Overall I’d say it’s very good value for money.

My 7 year old air pump in my 200 litre aquarium recently gave up the ghost. It was still making the monotonous sound it's been making for all those years, but virtually no air was arriving in to the tank, so it was time to look for a new one. From personal experience, I don't believe the claims of "ultra silent" or similar on air pumps. My definition of silent and those of the manufacturers of them differ greatly. Something I can hear from the other end of the living room over the sound of the TV is not silent. As such I took the Zacro's claim with a pinch of salt. What drew me to it, though, was the dual outlet. On my old setup I had a single outlet and a single non-return valve (NRV) which then had a splitter and two pipelines heading into my tank. It worked but it wasn't pretty. I thought I'd give this product a punt, even though it was one of the more expensive ones available on Amazon. The pump is a solid beast. It's a heavy lump and it feels reassuringly well built. And I can testify how well built it is because I wasn't in when it was delivered, but watched in awe from my home security cameras as the delivery driver "handed it to resident" by dropping it over my 6ft side gate into a puddle. I wouldn't have held it against the Zacro if it was totally destroyed, but fair play to it it took the beating and kept on going. Installation is straightforward. It comes with 2 metres of pipeline, 2 airstones and 2 NRVs which will get you feeding air to your tank in no time. My one criticism of the whole package would be that the pipeline was a bit short. 2 metres isn't really very much, when you consider that's for two airstones which are likely to be at opposite ends of your tank. A pump like this is really only going to be on a decent sized tank, and likely to be housed in the cabinet underneath, so have a think about it and work out if 2 metres is really enough for you. I suspect not. I needed more than twice that. There's a dial on the top which will allow you to control the flow of air to set to your preferred intensity. When I switched it on for the first time I was expecting quite a noise given the size of it, but I was pleasantly suprised. It's not silent, not in anyway, shape or form, but it is the quietest pump I've used. It had four pointed rubber feet that do a good job of prevent vibrations turning your tank into a big subwoofer, and the sound is kept to a tolerable minimum. You can hear it easily enough through a closed cabinet door, but it is an acceptable level. Just don't be upset that it doesn't meet the "ultra silent" claim. None of them do. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's been in the tank now for nearly a month and has performed flawlessly.

It actually is silent! My old pump broke and the first "silent" replacement was so loud I couldn't stand it and sent it back. I saw this one and thought it was worth a try - and glad I did. The bubbles it creates are the only sound it makes! Yes it is big, twice the size of the old one, but if that's the sacrifice to not have that annoying buzz in the background - it's worth it! So easy to set up, came with everything you need, including new airlines and even some airstones. Double outlet so can power two different things, I have it running a sponge filter and an airstone and it's more than powerful enough.

Pump is very quiet as stated, and has a very useful dial to control the flow. If you maximise the flow, then you will be faced with noise, but for me, it produced enough air on a low setting to remain quiet. I also have 2 of them, with one at each end of my 4ft tank. This because I had a previous top of the range Tetra pump that totally failed and I lost 2 very valuable fish as a direct result. Having 2 pumps avoids having all your eggs in one basket. Instructions are able to be understood, and the pump comes with non-return valves which is useful. My only slight criticism is that each pump is supplied with horrible Chinese squidgy airline which is inferior to the UK equivalent. It is prone to kinking and was kinked in the box for both of my purchases. (A minor detail.) Only been using these pumps for a day or two, but so far, I am impressed. It is very unusual for a pump to be supplied with any accessories at all, and for these pumps to come with airstones, valves & tubing at all, is very positive indeed. They are also fitted with UK plugs rather than US ones. A very good product that I recommend.

My last air pump gave up the ghost so i decided to replace it - my concern with air pumps is always the noise level as my aquarium is in my lounge. I ordered this one based on the description that it was ultra silent. The pump was much larger than i expected, around 3 times the size of my old one. It appears to be very well made, all plastic with 2 x metal air outlets. I connected up my two air lines and turned the air knob to maximum - plugged in and the air stones sprung to life. The pump itself was truly silent! The air bubbles it produced in my two round air stones were a lot greater than my previous pump, thus i decreased the airflow slightly. The only noise emitting from this is coming from the actual air lines themselves and not the pump. This is a brilliant air pump - and it truly is silent!

It's quiet on lowest setting. Anything useable is very loud. The first one I bought is still running after a few years and is exactly what I wanted so I bought another which was loud so ended up in a box. Figured it was faulty and moved on. Bought a third and it's the same as the second so guess I got lucky on the first try! Second is also going in the attic...
