This review is for the BL01.TLDR: Get them, especially for the current pricing. They are the best value of any IEM I've tried. Not the best IEM, but the best value. King of lo-fi beats. They edge out the BL03 for half the price.Pros:Superb bassNatural soundUnbelievable valueCons:Poorly shaped housing, can't wear for long sessionsBass overpowers on busy tracks (not an "all genre" solution)Cable ear hooks too stiffComparisons:VS. BL03This is the one I assume most people will be the most curious about. Comfort was the chief complaint for the BL03, but I find those to be much more comfortable than the BL01. I have small ears, so keep in mind that your experience is more than likely going to be the opposite.Bass is less bloated on the BL01, and the rest of the frequency response sounds slightly less warm, and more natural. Bass on the BL01 is faster, and has better bite. Mids come through clearer and cleaner on the BL01. Treble has a bit more sparkle, and better air.Winner: BL01VS. Kbear DiamondThe highs on the Diamond seem to roll off far sooner than they do on the BL01, making this no contest. The BL01 highs already roll off a bit too early. Kbear really knows how to accessories your purchase though. BLON could learn a thing or two from them. The cable on the Diamond is awesome, braided, soft. The tips are high quality, and there are a multiple sets of various sizes. Kbear's packaging rivals that of the Fiio, at a much lower price. Sure, we care about sound the most, but at least fix the ear hooks on the cable. Diamond is good only for the most treble sensitive.Winner: BL01VS. TFZ No. 3The TFZ offers something different than most of your current bassy IEMs on the market. Their sound is exceptionally airy and distant. This can either be very annoying, or intriguing, but still different. The TFZ is worth a try if you're looking for an extended treble that isn't harsh. I personally prefer the more natural signature of the BL01, and the BL01 sub-bass extension is superior by far. No 3 has a lot of mid-bass punch, for those who like mid-bass but dislike the sub-bass rumble.Winner: Slightly BL01, depends on signature preference.VS. MH750Yep, the budget behemoth. I have heard the MH755 also, but I find the bit of grit in the treble to be unpleasant, and greatly prefer the MH750, so that goes here. Besides, you're here, so you like bass, right? I wasn't sure anything would ever beat the MH750 on value. The MH750 is very similar, but with a little less resolution and detail. If you have the know-how and the patience, you can convert the MH750 to MMCX and get a nice cable, and you have something pretty special. Overall, the BLON BL01 is better out of the box, the way most people will use it. For that reason...Winner: Slightly BL01VS. Moondrop StarfieldI will include this one only because of their popularity, but those are a different beast. If you like a very neutral and natural harman sound signature, with a very subtle and tasteful elevation in the bass, the Starfields are hard to beat. They just do everything well. Just well. They do nothing great. If you're here for the great bass, which I assume you are, this comparison is apples to oranges. If you were going to own another set to complement the BL01, this might be a good choice.Winner: For me, BL01. Depends on your preference.VS. FiiO FH5I A/B tested them a lot, so we may as well include them, right? Is it an incredibly unfair comparison? Not exactly. But, let's preface by pointing out the FH5 is MORE than ten times the price. It actually took me several days to decide which one I liked better. If you go on crinacle, and compare these units on the frequency response comparison tool, you'll see why. They are very close. But, frequency response charts are really only good for a starting point, and don't really tell you the story. Listening to these back and forth, they sound different in ways the chart doesn't tell the full story about. For one, I get a great seal on both of these, and although the bass measures about the same, the BL01's bass impacts so much harder, and extends much deeper. If you are strictly a basshead, and you can't decide based on the charts, know that the BL01 is superior from a strictly basshead perspective. The issue for me comes with the refinement of the bass. The multiple driver build of the FH5, allowing a dedicated driver for bass, means that the bass rarely compromises other things going on in the track. If a violin is playing with a kick drum banging at the same time, you get a strong bass that leaves every brush of the violin untouched. This means the FH5 is a true "all genre" IEM for bass loving audiophiles who care about more than JUST the bass.Winner: FiiO FH5So, there you have it, I had to pull out something more than ten times the price in my collection to identify something that's clearly superior.Oh, and just to throw this out there, I know a lot of people listen to lo-fi beats while they work at lower volume. If that's you, look no further. These are the best thing I've tried for that purpose. At lower volume, the bass still hits hard enough feel.I also want to elaborate a little more on a couple of the pros and cons. The bass feels very biocellulose. If you've listened to or owned any of the Fostex/Denon/Emu headphones, you know what I mean. Supposedly, there's nothing that should make them sound distinct from other tech, yet they do. My daily driver is an X00 Ebony, with some mods, and I love them more and more as time goes on. The BL01 bass feels like a relative. The biggest con is, for me, the inability to wear these long-term. The shape is such that it presses hard against one point of my ear when seated properly. I have tried other tips, but I'm not fond of how they change the signature. The cable does this no favors by literally flipping the earbuds toward my ear when I move them into a more comfortable position, due to the overly stuff ear hooks on the cable. The cable is fine otherwise, but so far these are limited to about an hour of wear before they start to become noticeably uncomfortable.BLON, please soften the ear hook material on these cables, and maybe take some inspiration from the FiiO housing design.

Be mindful of stock wire that comes with the Blon 03s
These are fantastic for the money, with an amp that is. Running these just thru your phone or computer still sound pretty good but an amp will truly show you what these can do. Now onto my main topic. The stock wire that the earphones come with is decent. I find myself having to untangle it a lot because I’m always taking them off since I use them with my computer & I have to obviously get up sometimes & come back to put them on again so, these wires are very delicate & 15 min ago I took them off to get water & when I came back the wire was sort of tangled so I had to untangle them & when I put them on to hear my friends talking I noticed that the right one wasn’t working & I knew it was the wire because I swapped the single earpiece that was on the right, onto the left side of the wire & it worked fine, so use another wire other than these, unless you wanna be super gentle with them.

GREAT sound, metal build, nice looks and the value and quality/ price ratio is stellar.
The sound quality of this iem is the star of the show!! Very dynamic, natural and fun tuning. These are just plain and simple fun to listen to music with. Sound quality is way above the meager $40 price. Now, what i had to do to get a good fit in order to get the good sound was to replace the included crap cable with a nice braided and balanced cable for $19…..then, I threw the included eartips in the trash because they suck and wont help with fit issues. I bought some premium tips that i like to use for $15. So…$35-$40 for the iems and $34 for cable and tips which increases the final cost of this iem to around $70 or so dollars. Is it still worth it in the sound quality and tuning area….HELL YES!! They are great little budget iems even if you spend a little extra to get a proper fit and seal. Recommended!!

Sounds Great, Looks Great, Meh Comfort
The BLON BL-03 came out of nowhere, and it's been at the top of *budget* recommendations lists. Is it worth its price? Is it a "Giant Slayer"? Lets find out.TL;DR - A "Harman-esque" Frequency Response, similar to the Tin T4, but with more bass. More soundstage than Tin T2. Average imaging. Solid build, but meh stock cable and fit is less than perfect. Definitely worth its price. If the T4 is too safe a tuning for you, this brings the low end without sounding off.Packaging, Accessories & Build - A rectangular box, with a clear window to see the headphones on the top half. Comes with the same broken english as in video reviews (Music & Driams). Comes with some silicone tips, and cable. Also, a small velour-style drawstring bag. It's a metal build. It's mirror polished and seems durable. No micro-scratches or anything as of yet. (A month of so of usage). The stock ear-tips were meh, and didn't offer a good fit. If treble is shrill and bass is lacking, it's most likely an issue of seal. Switch your eartips with some known-good tips, whatever your favorites are, and that should solve some problems. Personally, I hate the stock BLON-branded cable and absolutely recommend the replacement from HiFiHear, as it seems to be less prone to untwisting, has less wire memory, and doesn't feature a full nautalis on its earhooks.Sound - You're looking at a "Chop-Top Harman" response, as BGGAR put it. There's a lot of bass impact, but it's not overwhelming. Midrange sounds normal, slight pinna gain, as per usual, but it doesn't have as much of a boost as a pure-Harman FR. Treble is not as energetic as a pure-Harman either. But you still get decent detail retrieval. The Carbon Nanotube Dynamic Driver has a similar issue to the DD in the MH755, in that it doesn't sound completely natural with things like cymbals, but it still sounds quite good to my ears. It's not a technical definition of flat, but it's a bit more of a fun signature than the Tin T4.Conclusions - Ever since using the DSP-corrected iSine LX, I've found that the Harman curve works well for me. The DF-target used by Etymotic and the Massdrop Plus also work well for me. Both give me a hint of soundstage, and decent imaging. Though, the closest my ears has ever come to the "Room with Speakers" ideal, was the iSine LX, the BLON BL-03 is still a darn good IEM. It offers actual outside-your-head soundstage, decent detail retrieval, and a very pleasant sound. While the BL-03 isn't going to replace my MD+, let alone my Andromeda, I do appreciate the added bass over the Tin T4, and I have alternated between the T4, and Sony MH755 as my "beater" IEMs. Honestly, I'll probably keep all three of them since none of them absolutely breaks the bank. While the BL-03 isn't a giant-killer, it's still an entirely competent and fun sounding IEM. If it wasn't for the lackluster cable, somewhat-strange fit, and crap eartips, it would be a definite recommendation over things like the Tin T2, and Moondrop offerings around the same price. In fact, the fit and cable are the only reasons these don't get 5 full stars. Don't get me wrong though, you could spend a lot more for much worse earphones.NOTE: I use the HiFiHear cable, and some Dekoni Bulletz tips on mine. I tried them with Spiral Dot tips, Final Type-E tips, and Mee Audio single flange tips. Out of all of them, the Bulletz are my preferred tips, especially since Dekoni appears to be using a new formula and/or mold as of December 2019.**Disclaimer - Perception of sound and comfort is subjective and my statements above regarding them should be taken as opinion and NOT objective fact. My review shouldn't be a substitute for ears-on time with a product. My ears are not a universal measurement rig, I am human, and I make mistakes. Excellent tuning, astounding value, a real gem.
I've been on a bit of an IEM spree of late, these are cheap, simple, and absolutely superb. They've nailed the tuning, I've now had them for about six months and I'd have normally equalised them by now, but after playing with the sound I've kept them flat. They do take well to equalisation though. Nothing is absent or overdone to my ears, they're as close to one of my ideal tunings as I've come across. This is basically the tuning I try to tweak some of my other IEM's to.I'm not going to describe the sound at great length, I know how tedious that can be, but it wouldn't be much of a review if I didn't at least try!. First off, detail is great, it's all there but they're not super etched out, prizing smoothness and balance instead. Soundstaging is surprisingly good with a convincing 3D "headstage", and the imaging is outstanding. The bass reaches nice and low, it's detailed, hits hard when needed, but I never find it overbearing. Then again, I do like my bass!. There's a hint of bass bleed into the mids, I actually like it as in this case I think it adds body rather than bloat, it feels rich. The midrange is smooth and warm, in no way recessed, giving a wonderful recreation of vocals without ever getting "shouty". The treble treads that precarious line perfectly and extends well - its very well behaved in all the areas that can typically start to grate. I'm especially happy with the first peak at around 2.5k as it's a nice rounded hill roughly in line with the bass. Essentially it's a rich full sound and the main strength is probably the excellent timbre. It's a realistic sounding set of IEM's, instruments and voices sound like they should. I'll attach a pic of the frequency response in case you're interested. The fact these are £30 is a bit of a head spinner. Sure the cable and tips will need replacing if you want improved comfort and fit, and the accessories are minimal, but the IEM's themselves are nicely made and in a blind test I'd seriously struggle to put a monetary value on them.At the same time, the quality of audio gear designed and produced in China is now so good (provided you're selective, as with any audio gear!) that it shouldn't surprise me you can buy a £30 IEM that performs like this. They're iterating so quickly and producing such a multitude of designs with varying technology that it's honestly becoming hard to justify spending more. The last four Chinese IEM's I've bought are the Tin P1's, KZ ZS10 Pros, Shouer Tapes, and now these, the Blon BL-03. I couldn't be happier, they're all fantastic sounding IEM's and use diverse approaches (Planar, Dynamic/BAs, Dynamic/Electrostat, and Single Dynamic).I don't think we're going to be short of options any time soon either, it's only getting better. High price isn't a reliable indicator of high sound quality now, not that it ever really was. High-end does just mean expensive. We now have low cost DACs and amps that objectively equal or exceed expensive offerings - in terms of specs and performance - and the IEM space is no different. Eliminating pricing bias with blind testing ironically really opens your eyes (and ears). You can be in musical hog heaven with enough left over for a celebratory slap up binge at Mrs Miggins Pie Shop :)Excuse the rant!. The Blon put out very high quality sound. They also do it with a single full range dynamic driver. No exotic technologies, they haven't crammed as many balanced armatures in as possible, they've used one quality dynamic driver and tuned it almost to perfection. They're old school done right and they're a must buy. I hope this helped a bit, there's not much else to say about the sound except it's fantastic. Happy listening :)

Paired with the right ear tip these sound fantastic
So I caught the hype train and purchased a pair of the BLON BL03’s.Among the audiophile community these cheap IEM’s are getting some rather positive reviews.Out of the box these single 10mm Carbon Diaphragm Dynamic Driver IEM’s certainly look the part. They have a gorgeous design with premium fit and finish making them appear to be much more expensive than their small price tag would have you believe.First impressions weren’t good in terms of audio quality. The supplied ear tips don’t allow these IEM’s to shine.Much like the Revonext QT2S, they have punchy bass but sounded flat with the stock tips.So after several attempts trying to pair them with the right ear tip I just couldn’t get the sound signature I desired.I persevered finally settling on a slightly longer nozzle with a medium bore silicone tip.Wow!!!Now these things sound good. Really good!Bass is deep, detailed and punchy yet still controlled.Vocals whilst a little recessed are clear and precise. Treble is crisp and defined allowing these IEM’s to extract the best from Blues, Rock and Jazz.BLON haven’t concentrated on the packaging. They’re not presented like the TIN HI-FI T2’s but they come with a nice detachable cable and carry pouch. The said cable is a bit of a tangle monster but all is forgiven when these inexpensive IEM’s are paired with the right ear tips.I collect IEM’s and I can recommend the BLON BL03’s to the casual listener. Out of the box they sound good enough for most people. With a little time spent the keen audiophile or someone who just likes good sound can get these inexpensive IEM’s to sound twice as good as their price suggests.A bargain indeed!

Tremendous-sounding IEMs. A true hi-fi bargain!
I stumbled across these IEMs the other day on various YouTube hi-fi channels I follow and set about getting my hands on them ASAP.The sound signature of these IEMs is closely aligned to my taste and is of a quality that is far in excess of what one has a right to expect at this price (they sound closer to IEMs costing well over £100 in my experience). There are plenty of detailed reviews elsewhere regarding the sound quality so I'll leave it at with regard to this aspect of the BLONs. Just know that I am extremely fussy and these have more than satiated my thirst for great sound in a small, highly portable package.Build and finish is generally excellent, although I'd prefer a longer nozzle onto which the high quality silicon eartips attach for a firmer, deeper fit. Having said that I did try out all the supplied sets of eartips and found a fit close to my ideal, although there are a number of deeper ones made by other manufacturers that I have read about that will fit the BLONs which I will try out in due course, as others already have to remedy this issue. The supplied cable is actually better than I was expecting as a number of reviewers did not get on well with it. One thing that I will need to do is heat up the cable around one of the earpiece connectors as it has a kink in it that prevents the earpiece sitting as comfortably in my ear canal as it might otherwise do (it is shrouded in a firm, transparent, plastic sheath at this point in the cable). The other side is fine however. A relatively minor issue to be honest but one that shouldn't be present, even at this price. In summary then the BLON BL-03s are a revelation and an ABSOLUTE STEAL at around £35. Do yourself a favour and check out the many reviews on YouTube and elsewhere and you will be left in no doubt as to their overall quality.I evaluated the BLONs by comparing them with a variety of headhones in my collection including my AKG K712 Pro, Audioquest Nightowl Carbon and Nighthawk Carbon, Sennheiser HD598SR, Philips Fidelio L1 and X2, Yamaha HPH-MT5 and HPH-200.In summary these are extremely fine-sounding IEMs, irrespective of price. Very highly recommended!

Good, inoffensive IEM
It's a good IEM. Sounds warm with a bass boost, pretty flat in the midrange and not offensive in treble. Actually a very balanced sound signature that anyone can enjoy. It lacks detail and sparkle at the top end, I don't exactly notice details I haven't before. But it's £35 at the end of the day so who's complaining? If you like a sterile analytical IEM it won't suit your tastes but for 95% of people it's great.A lot of people complain about the fit and cable but for me, I put them in my ears with the stock pre-installed mid size tips and the included cable and listened for about 4 hours in my first session without them sliding out or any discomfort. That's very high praise actually. Only thing is they don't disappear like some very comfortable IEMs. I never forgot I was wearing them.As someone who has all manner of high end headphones/IEMs (my current daily drivers are TH900) I just wanted something reasonably priced to wear when doing the dishes or going shopping that I wouldn't worry about. This set is ideal.

Great build quality and sound, stupid earbuds (and the cables aren't that great either).....
Straight out of the box these sound great; detail, layers, soundstage all very good indeed for the money. Quality feel, seem well-built sit well in the ears and are comfortable to wear BUT I have no idea who is in charge of ergonomics for the earbuds - they are the oddest selection of fits I've ever come across. The default earbuds pre-fitted out of the box, well, I can't imagine they'd suit anyone - my grandma's 1970's hearing aid fitted and sounded better....screechhhhhh! These IEM's need a good seal to get the sound right, especially bass. I experimented with a few other earbuds in the box (4 other sets supplied), finally settled on a fatter rounder pair that sort of fit, and if I don't move my jaw the sound is pretty good, but I expect can be even better. I anticipate a bit more experimenting, probably with 3rd party earbuds will be required - shame, cos that's more cost and loses them a star. Also the detachable cable is pretty lightweight, so I will probably need to spend a bit more in this area for a better one as well. Overall, great IEM's just a little bit let down by lack of attention to the ancillary details. Not a deal breaker though, for the money I doubt you'd find better sound-wise. Previously, at this sort of price I've really liked RHA's, but the BL-O3 have a lot more detail and clarity, retaining a nice bit of bass oomph. I recking when these burn in they'll sound even better - just as long as I don't move my jaw, ho-hum......
