Not Bad
Don't know what I was expecting considering the price. All in all nice for a collector, haven't had the opportunity to use it while hunting yet. Personally I would prefer a solid wood handle over the poly whatever material they used. Not recommended for daily or hunting use, perfect for collecting and showcasing.

A wicked looking quality blade, with a cheap price tag.
Light and well-made, the blade and sheath are great as a worn back-up. Not quite sturdy enough for yard work and utility use, but a decent looking side-blade and a cheap alternative to most Bowie knives. Full tang knives and swords are far superior to any other kind of blade. If you're serious about having a knife on your hip at all times for self-defense, considering price, quality and intimidation factor, this Bowie fits the bill. The handle is indeed wood and it is entirely black, not sure why it says Silver at all in the description. If you can afford a denser Bowie knife, go for it, but go for full tang.

Eh, so-so knife.
This knife takes a bit of work to make usable.Every edge that you touch while holding the knife is sharp and will need to be softened with a file, except for the serrations, which should be sharp and are not. Even the lanyard hole will need to be softened so it won't cut your lanyard. The handle is oversized on the finger side enough that you need to take the handles off and file them down to avoid cutting your fingers with heavy use. Hex screws hold the handles on.This is bigger than a regular belt knife but smaller than a machete. I think it'll be a good multipurpose pack knife once I get the bugs worked out, though there's no way to know what the steel is, it just says "Stainless China".I know it's a cheap knife, but it surely wouldn't have taken much to fix some of these issues at the factory.

dont let price fool you!!!!!!
when i first bought this knife i was skeptical even after it arrived it felt alittle cheap when i was holding it but let me tell you after using this thing by the river yesterday i can tell you i was completely wrong to question this knife it is incredible for the price. i have many cold steel, gerber, kershaw, sog and other name brand quality knives and even though this knife is not as good as some i have it is the best value ive ever recieved i got this knife for about 14 bucks if you add the shipping costs and i hacked and chopped numerous different types and sizes of wood and it ate through all of them i even was able to chop through a dry piece of pine about an inch and a half in diameter and went through it in one swipe my little brothers gerber machete couldnt even do that and its quite a bit bigger and heftier so if your looking for a knife that you can use and abuse without worrying about hurting your more expenisve blades buy this immediately its very ergonomic and edge retention is very very good for a blade of this price i hacked and chopped many many logs and it was still sharp with no dings or chips i even threw it once (not a good throwing knife not balanced right) and didnt hit target and it bounced off and hit a rock and still no chips dings or dents and super easy to sharpen im very surprised and completely happy with this knife.

Tough, capable, and expendable.
I like the weight, balance and the length of this knife. I bought it because i don't want to carry a machete (too long) or a hatchet (too heavy) while camping in densely-wooded mountains. It's a great compromise. I sharpened the swedge on top into a false-edge with a utility angle of about 28-30 degrees. This is much more suited to heavy chopping without blunting, and will also save the narrow-angle sharp edge in front.Surprisingly, the finger-loop makes holding this backwards comfortable and very controllable, as it acts as a 'stop' for your hand, and the web of your thumb rides in the finger groove right under the loop. The steel used is pretty hard. Even taking the swedge down to 30 degrees with a carbide sharpener and a coarse whetstone took some time. The result is a blade that tears through just about anything without dulling much at all (just be prepared to spend some time putting an edge back on it when the time comes.)I can't speak to the saw-serrations. i've never encountered a scenario in which i've needed such aggressive serrations. I carry a chainsaw blade for that kind of thing.the painted wooden grips are attached with hex screws, and are removable if you want to make your own grips, or wrap it with paracord. The sheath isn't anything amazing, but it doesn't really need to be.For the price, you can blunt, bend, snap or lose this knife and not bat an eye. This is a great buy.

AINT BLACK!
Title says black. Description says black. Picture shows black. The one I got was silver with red handle.

Sharp and good quality, different color arrived
Handle is way different then pictured but I expected that by reading other reviews. I actually prefer the different red handle too, Very shard and I love that it came with a sheath. Huge hit with my hubby for anniversary.

Beyond the quality of the typical $15 knife...!!
I bought this knife expecting a dull blade, poor sheath, and quality flaws galore... I was surprised to see a decent piece of workmanship in the shipping box. The sheath is not great, but it's slightly padded, with a decent amount of protection inside for the blade to continuously be taken out and inserted back in over and over. I seriously believe that this was probably one of the best deals within my collection of cutlery. Granted that most of my knives are Kershaw, KA-BAR, Cold-Steel, SOG, and the rest of the best of the mass-produced arena; this knife has enough quality to be placed on the same display table. It's almost a small machete, but definitely not the intended quality of the finish of one...!! I might have to buy a few more to give people for gifts, since it can easily pass for a higher priced, fancier branded piece of cutlery. Buy it... Stop staring at it, trying to find the reason for it's low cost...!! I wasted time doing the same thing, when I should havejjust bought the damn thing. Very cool.
