Amazing bow for the price
Got this bow and love it, shoots smooth and accurate. Looks amazing. would definitely recommend this product to first time shooters or experienced ones. it is a joy to shoot. I have the 55# draw and it packs a punch. It does not have the prefabricated holes for accessories, so no extras like sights, quivers, rests etc can be used. if you like a solid box that shoots true, packs power, shoots smooth and doesn't ruin the look of a traditional recurve than this is the bow for you.

Nice Bow
Ordered the bow expecting 50 pound tension as described, but I got 29 lbs.... overall the bow is very nice and has a good grip, very light. thinking of return and getting more pounds on it.

Better than I expected
I've purchased a Sammick Sage a few years back to get into archery and I decided to upgrade to the Maverick after getting a crack on my old bow's riser. this Maverick Bow is way better than the sammick sage that I own. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it feels and preforms. This is as barebow as it gets...there's no sockets for plungers, sights or counterweights, and the limbs cannot be taken apart as it is one full piece. That can be a deal breaker for some, but for me it's less stuff to worry about. The bow string is a higher quality that the one from my old bow, so that's a plus. I set my brace height to 7-1/2", installed the arrow plate pad that came with the bow, and got my nocking points installed so that I could shoot a couple of arrows. The distance shot was around 17 yards and shot using the string walking method. I was surprised that I almost hit the target dead center on the first try. I shot a few more arrows and it stayed in the yellow area, so I know it's precise. The draw weight felt right poundage wise, but I have no way of testing that myself. It was comparable to my old bow though, so it should be accurate. The wood design is beautiful and the texture of the bow feels smooth. I was a bit worried that it would feel slippery when drawing to shoot, but was relieved that I could hold it steady without issues. When shooting, it's pretty quiet as is, but I'll be installing some string silencers in the near future just because I'm used to adding them. The only minor drawback that I have about this purchase is that it did not come with a bow stringer. I feel like that's something that's necessary to have in order to set up the bow, especially for the heavier draw weights, so not having one included is a negative for me. Luckily, I already had one, but it's something to keep in mind if you're shopping around for your first bow.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

55 lbs draw, bow works and shoots as it should
So I like the colors and grain in the wood, when I strung it it has a twist to the bow, as you pull it back it twist where the string is hooked and pops off the bow, now it’s been like 10 years since I shot a bow like this but I clearly remember it not twisting, I’m assuming it needs to stretch a bit or something? As long as I keep it from twisting it’s very strong and solid shooting, I am going to hunt medium game with it and am confident the bow will hold to the tests! Overall it’s a good bow though, only giving 3 stars due to the bow twisting every time I drawback on the string
