Perfect Timer for a Natural Light Cycle!
I love this aquarium light timer! It fits perfectly onto my Aqueon LED hood, and the best part is the gradual dimming feature. Instead of suddenly turning on and startling my fish, it slowly brightens in the morning and dims at night, creating a much more natural transition. It’s a great product, easy to use, and makes a big difference for my tank. Highly recommend!

Added feature/function plus timer- total win!
I love that this made my LED aquarium light that was just off/on a dimmable light! It is nice for when you want the light to be on a little but not full brightness at night (like if you are using it as a night light for a child’s room). Super easy to add on to my regular light cord and it doesn’t un-attach easily, keeping it functioning without having to worry about it, even when my curious cats are playing with the aquarium and therefore the light cord.

Do not buy, I have had two since Dec 13, 2022, second purchased on Feb 8, 2024, both have failed!
I wrote very positive or very negative reviews only generally. This is a bad one! I have purchased two of these exact same pieces now, the first on December 13, 2022, and the current one on February 8, 2024 - BOTH HAVE BURNED OUT ALREADY! I bought the same one again, only because this piece has good reviews, and I suspected I just was unlucky and got a lemon! Nope, as both have burned out way too fast! I highly suggest you buy something else. To answer the obvious, neither have gone into the water, because I have made sure that would not happen; neither have been pulled on, so the cords were fine as they are tucked out of the way - they simply stopped working! I will never buy this fish tank light timer ever again, as it has clearly been a waste of money! I highly suggest not buying it! I even went back to check on the ratings just now, and was surprised to find them still getting a 4 star rating with 811 reviews just a moment ago! I like the concept, the ways it works - when it works, but it has poor quality electronics, and fails way too easily! Buy a different one!

Pretty Good... Until it Dies
I've had this timer for just under a year, originally purchased on May 21, 2023 (today is May 19, 2024). About a week ago I noticed my fish tank light was off after coming back from a weekend trip. I thought maybe my friend who fed my fish while I was away turned it off for some reason and reset the timer. Nope, the light was off again by the time I got home from class. I spent another day battling the timer function before giving up and deciding to just manually turn the light on and off and order a new timer. Last night, the light kept turning itself on randomly. The timer function was NOT engaged so I kept having to get up to turn it off again. My tank is in my room so it is definitely disruptive to my sleep to have the light turning on in the middle of the night. Today I ordered a new timer from a different company when I woke up this morning to the light being on again. I will be disconnecting this timer from the light system of my tank and maintaining the light manually until the new timer arrives.TL;DR: the timer lasted just under a year and the week it started dying was mildly frustrating trying to figure out what was going on. For only $10 it worked pretty well. I'm disappointed it didn't last longer but with daily use I guess a year is pretty decent. I'm ordering a better timer for future use.

Perfect!
All I wanted was something to dim the lights that wouldn't cost a fortune or need any special setup. I was amazed they actually made a dimmer for my aquarium lights. Works in line with the cord.....plugs right in. I am not all that concerned with a timer since I have my lights plugged into an Alexa outlet....just wanted the lights lower for my betta. I am completely satisfied!

GREAT and simple plug and play
First make sure it will fit your LED strip. Seems like it’s pretty universal but the product is awesome. Ive been turning my lights on manually for over a year. Not anymore! Just press the TIME you’d like it to start at, it will start dim and brighten within 15-30 minutes to simulate a sunrise. The lights will be full brightness for the duration selected(8,10,or 12 hours) and then it will dim down as well. I don’t know why I’m just finding this product but I used it for two days and ordered another already. Love it!

Does NOT fit Aqueon lights
This seems to work okay, but NOT on my aqueon light. I am switching to a smart plug but there’s no dimming with that.

Meh
I have a cheap petsmart 37 gallon and this dimmer/timer just plugs into the existing connections. Cheap way to make your existing setups work. I have the light on 8hours a day and dimmed it. It's really cut down on my algae and my plants are still getting enough light.1/12/23 I took a star off since the timer function is off. It's been turning on a min or so earlier every day and I have to reset it every few weeks.4/21 yesterday it was on for 15 hours and I left it unplugged last night to reset it and when setting it back up it kept flickering like the connection was loose. At least this product was cheap. I'll have to shop around for something else if I can find another easy one like this that'd be perfect. This should have lasted longer. My set up is plugged into a power surge battery back up so it never loses power or is affected by power outages so it couldn't be fried.
