multi color pen with pencil writing all as pencil 0.5mm
when i first received it, i was disappointed that the casing is actually plastic, but when i used the ballpoint pen writing at 0.5mm thinness and then figured out how to use the pencil, i fell in love. I no longer need to carry pencils and pen. the ballpoint is supersmooth. I just hope i can get ink replacement when i am done using it. i also love the multicolor pens as i use it for IT cert studies. i can categorized my topics...

Multi Use EDC
I have always heard great things about Uniball and their Jetstream line of pens from the Pen Addict. I have been wanting a multi pen and decided I would try this one out as it has a pencil as well which I like. Along with four colors. Pros: -You can swap around the refills to different sizes from 0.28 to 0.9 or 1.0 I believe. As well there are other colors you can put in it if you want. -The stock Jetstream refill is amazing. If you thought ballpoints all felt the same and there isn’t a good one then think again. This writes like a dream with an even line. As well the colors are solid and look good. -The pen is easy to use and disassemble. To use any color it is an easy depression of the button and it locks in. To release and retract its just as easy. Cons: -The only real con I can think of is just the grip section is made of metal. I wish the whole barrel was made of metal. -Another is the grip is large understandably but, after some use I got used to it. I do wish it was a hair thinner though. Overall I love this pen and it has been a great addition to my collection. I enjoy using it and it’s great as a EDC option if needed.

Great multipen with some flaws
Great tracing. Incredible useful. It’s a shame that the body is not made of metal, only the tip. Not much ink by cartridge.

Great Pen
They are almost exactly like the Pure Malt version, except these pens don't have the wood finger grips. This pen and it's campanion pens are unique. The internal pencil and eraser is what's make them unique. These pens are the ONLY pen you need to have. I won't pick up anything else to write with! BIC has made a four color ink pen for a long time. However, it looks like a toy and doesn't have a pencil built in. No self-respecting business person would get caught carrying the BIC pen. The uni Jetstream will be a pen anyone would be proud to carry and show off. One more point, it's called the "metal edition", only the finger grip is made of metal. The upper half is made of plastic! I think some of the users who gave the pen low marks are kind of "cry babies." Most didn't shop very well and paid way to much for the pen to begin with. If you paid more than $16 to $17 for the pen, you paid to much! I've purchased DOZENS of these pens AND the "sister" pen, the "Pure Malt" version for as little as $15 to $16 each! For THOSE prices the pens are a GREAT buy! They do EVERYTHING you'd expect a pen to do, has a pencil and eraser built in and it looks great in your pocket and in your hand! AND, if you leave the pen laying around, when you come back to use it again, it will be gone! See if that happens with a BIC pen or some other single feature pen! Those pens you can't give away! I give these pens to my clients, friends and certain acquaintances, along with my business card. At first they all say they've seen pens like it before, I quickly tell them, "No you haven't!" I show them the wood grip, on the Pure Malt version, the four ink colors, THEN the pencil and eraser. THEN, they admit they've never seen a pen like it before! Just like I told them to begin with! Different colors of the same pen are available from Japan's Amazon store. However, shop carefully. For some reason the shipping charges are outrageous. Sometimes 3 to 4 times the price of ONE pen. NOT a good deal. I've found some vendors charging shipping charges about equal to the price of one pen and the price of the pen is a $1 or $2 LESS than the prices I find from USA sources. So I buy 10 to 12 at a time from Japan. The shipping is typically the same if you buy one pen or 10 pens. When you average the total cost against the number of pens received, I end up paying the $15 to $16 per pen!

The fine is finer than Fine!
Every ink colors are deep, the writing is smooth, the grip is comfortable, the weight is balanced, the erasability of the pencil is decent, and the body feels durable. I love this pen and everyone who tries it, immediately wants one, because if you know, you know.

Not metal, stick to the regular version
Great pen overall. It writes well and serves a versatile purpose, but I’d recommend buying the regular version instead of this “metal” one, if you can even call it that. It feels more like cheap plastic and somehow lower quality than the standard version. Would rate higher if it didn’t feel like it’s bound to break soon.

Jetstream 4&1 Metal Edition: Pocketable Perfection for Multi-Color Warriors
As a fellow Jetstream devotee (with the classic black in my arsenal), I was instantly intrigued by the 4&1 Metal Edition. Now, after putting it through its paces, I can confidently say it's not just another pretty pen. Sure, the sleek aluminum body is a major upgrade. It gleams like a knight's armor (minus the rust) and feels premium to the touch. But the pocketability, my friend, that's the real game-changer. Ditch the rubber grip, and you gain a pen that slips in and out of your pocket like a buttery dream. No more snags, no more frustrating fumbles – just smooth, swift access to your ink-slinging arsenal. But hey, this isn't just about looks and convenience. The jet-smooth Jetstream ink remains the star of the show. Black, blue, green, red – you've got all your bases covered for notes, doodles, and impromptu to-do lists. And that 0.5mm pencil? Sharp as a wit, perfect for quick sketches or jotting down those fleeting ideas. If you're a Jetstream fan yearning for pocket-friendly precision, the 4&1 Metal Edition is your new writing companion. It's stylish, practical, and packs a punch of color. Just be prepared for jealous stares from fellow pen enthusiasts.

Works great! All functions properly
The material is a lightweight plastic, not metal. It doesn’t have a nice, heavy weight that I’d like, but some people prefer featherweight so to each their own. As for the use of the pens, switching out different colors is very seamless and the inks write just as smoothly. Since it didn’t come with any instructions, I had to look up a few things like how to replace the pencil lead and how to dispense the pencil lead. After watching a video reviewing this pen, it showed that you have to depress the clip repeatedly in order for the pencil lead to come out. I have included a video in how to use for your reference. Enjoy!

Like writing on a cloud
This pen is both beautiful and awesome! It writes so smoothly it’s almost like you are writing on a cloud. It has a pencil and pens with all the colours you would need while taking notes. So comfortable, and light. Amazing value for a tier pen. And made of steel so extremely durable. I’ve just bought a second one.

Extremely good with one drawback
Everything about this pen is incredible except that the refills are proprietary. If that doesn't bother you, then this is worth it, especially this beautiful olive color.
