This scale is very nice. The metal is sturdy and the scale functions properly. I would definitely recommend this product to other engineers or architects.

Very nice.

I used this scale for one semester in one three credit class. Basically 3-6 hours a week for 15 weeks. The numbers and scale are painted on and the paint has worn off in many places already from pretty light use. Basically if it rubs against anything, it has a chance or rubbing off the paint.Nice concept, poor quality.edit: I did carry it in my bag a few times. If the product came with a case, the paint probably wouldn't have scratched off.

For me this is the best scale I've ever used in my 35 years as a estimator I really like the raised edge so that when using markers the ink doesn't smear over e page when the rule is slid over e page

Forget the triangular scale - this one will create envy of all your peers.Downfall - not all scales that are on a triangular scale are present, but it's worth the coolness factor. Besides, you can nab the triangular scale from the envious guy sitting next to you.
