Bad printed copy?
I really wanted to like this book. I'm not sure if I got a misprint, but there are paragraphs duplicated on several pages and some sentences I feel are missing parts. I couldn't get past chapter 1 because I had to go back and reread as I thought it was me at first lol

Hard to read since words go into the spine. Very poor quality
Its hard to read the print goes into the spine and seems like I'm missing pages or it's just terribly written I can't make sense of all the skipping around. I am very bummed as I wanted to love this book. It has different info than many of my herbal books but sadly it's poorly put together.

Learning how Herbal medicine can be very helpful and healthier
The theory that underlies all medicinal, physical, and spiritual Native American healing therapies is really quite basic. People must learn to live in peace with the world around them in order to live healthily. The wellness traditions and values of Native American tribes are related to Native American Medicine. This book explains the whole process and many interesting fact and information about native Americans medicine.

Helpful None the Less
I don't believe herbs fix everything, but I do believe there is a natural cure/medicine for most things. Everyone knows that the Indigenous and natives of the earth have long trusted what grows from the earth to aid them along in life. This book is pretty useful in identifying herbs and treatment used by the American First Nations.Could do with an update for gramatical and spelling errors, but helpful none the less.

Disappointed - grammatical errors
I bought this book for my husband as a present. Today I picked it up to look through it and within a couple of minutes of flipping through the book I found a couple of grammatical errors. Under the information about aloe they spelled hemorrhoids as haemorrhoids and in another area of the book the author wrote: It is painful and may cause life unpleasant. If I read this book cover to cover I wonder how many mistakes I would find. The couple of errors I found, just reading a few pages, leads me to question the accuracy of the information provided in this book. Also, it is my personal opinion if you are trying to educate people on plants/herbs it is best to have actual pictures of what the plants look like, not just black and white drawings.

Holistic medicine for everyone
Not everyone has great health insurance or is interested in western medicine being their first choice. This book shows you the ways Native American elders have treated various illnesses and issues. I think, even if you don't believe herbs and plants can heal, this book will open your mind to at least considering this time tested wisdom. I learned a lot from this book like that American ginseng can alleviate cild and flu symptoms or act as a laxative. Overall, I found this book very informative.

Healing your body ,natures way
How to use herbs is explained in the book, with details on where to plant, how to grow, dry and store the herbs, what each herb is used for. Each herb taste different. This book lists the common names, features, and how it effects the body. I have always believed you can heal your body from most illnesses , by using herbs.

Payed for new and got used
I payed for a NEW book, why is it so dirty and stained looking as if it was used without being properly cared for!? Unfortunately my camera is lacking so I don't think the pictures came out so well, looks worse in person. Also its kind of hard to read bc the wording goes into the spine, you'll have to bend it to properly read it. But I have been excited to receive this book.
