Fun family puzzle with a surprise twist. Oddly both harder and easier than you'd expect for a 1000 piece puzzle. The real story is the care taken at every level with the fun, funny art, the well-crafted pieces, the surprise: everything. Even the packaging was thoughtful. This was the best puzzle we put together this year (The Happy Isles), and we still have two more to go. I wholeheartedly give this puzzle (and especially the 3-pack) my highest recommendation! I will be buying more for the holidays.

I first purchased the maze one and loved it. I had to get the other two but the only listing not sold out was this one so I bought it. I gifted the maze to someone who I know will love it! The puzzles are all very fun, the pieces are good quality and none of the puzzles were too difficult. There's a lot of variation of shapes and it's easy to tell a piece is in the right spot. The reveal at the end was always so cool. It was fun to guess what the end would hold in store. My only wish is that the pieces locked together better. If you pick up a section it just crumbles. This happened on all three puzzles. I wouldn't usually care but you need to move whole sections to complete the puzzle. If you don't have a huge work surface prepare for frustration as you try to lift and slide the sections around. And they declare on the back of the box the pieces "snap together and stay put." So it was disappointing that they didn't do that. The artwork is absolutely lovely and the sunny city and the maze are STUNNING. Those artists took so much time and paid such great attention to detail. The maze one especially felt like being on an adventure the whole time because of the art. And props to whoever calibrated the die cuts on these puzzles. Getting that cut so accurate isn't easy. They probably have to calibrate the cutter constantly for something like this. I truly recommend these puzzles and I have no regrets buying them!

So far we have assembled The Mystic Maze. The artwork was full of fun details and told a story in multiple vignettes. I don't particularly enjoy 1000 piece puzzles that have large stretches of the same color, so I appreciated that this one was challenging but not frustrating and that every piece has something interesting to look at. The puzzle includes two fold out art prints so it was easy for multiple people to work together and have a reference. As promised, there was no puzzle dust in the box and the pieces are sturdy and good quality. All of the packaging is eco-friendly (no plastic) and it was easy to repackage the puzzle like new. The surprise at the end was creative and makes these puzzles unique. We're looking forward to assembling the other two in the near future.

First the great: i followed this when it was a Kickstarter, but by the time i decided to buy it was too late. I was Very excited to see these for sale on Amazon at a reasonable price (i grabbed the 3-pack). this was an exciting and fun twist on jigsaw puzzle creativity. The idea is great, but the execution was even better! Thoughtful ideas executed to perfection to make this something great to do alone or with others (we made it a family activity). We even did a time lapse of the whole thing. I’d post it here but I don’t want to give away the end. Really the price seems super reasonable to me, it’s only slightly higher than 3 new good-quality puzzle at Hobby Lobby, but what’s in the box is next-level presentation. My only disappointment is that I had the impression during the Kickstarter that each puzzle had a totally different illusion/effect for a reveal. The three puzzles actually have the same die cut (of course they still have their own unique story/surprise) with the same “magic shift” reveal. They aren’t exaggerating about the exactness of the cut though.. it really is impressive if you are into the “How It’s Made” side of things! Still a 5 star product with 5-star execution, and I can’t wait til they come out with the next series (hopefully with a new effect). Haven’t decided if we’ll keep them or gift them, but they would make a great gift for sure. Picture is of the Happy Isles completed but before the twist ending. I refuse to be a spoiler! Enjoy!

I love these puzzles! We will probably get all of them! The pieces fit together nicely and there’s no wondering if the piece might go somewhere else instead. It brings the fun back to puzzling instead of struggling.

If you can see my prior reviews you'll know that I'm a bit of a puzzle addict and do an average of one every other day. I bought all three puzzles and just finished the first one, Happy Isles. It was unlike any other puzzle that I've done. The pieces are amazing quality...each piece is so interesting to look at all by itself and the overall picture and puzzle is really interesting just to look at. It comes with two full size pictures so if you are unlike me and actually let someone help you, they can have their own copy. I think I'm probably going to frame one because the artwork is so interesting. There's zero dust or mess, no problems with the front peeling off the back and there is an interesting little twist at the end so I'm curious to see whether it's the same for the other two in the series.

These are some of the most entertaining and engaging puzzles we have even done. Odd shapes, goofy surprises, and way more edge pieces all make sense when you finish. We plan to order more from the series.

Lots of good things best for novice puzzlers... The packaging, sturdy puzzle material, and almost lack of puzzle dust is wonderful! The list of easter eggs to find plus other ones not on the list is a nice bonus. I do wish the was like a little story bit to help nudge folks to question what hidden things is happening in the picture. Think a tiny story bit would have really added to the fun before getting to the mystery puzzle assembly. I also wished each of the 3 puzzles had different segments instead of all having the same shapes for parts A B C etc. Each of the three puzzles would be excellent gifts for novice puzzlers, and perhaps to experienced puzzlers for quick fun. I would not recommend gifting all three to the same person since the only real variance is just the picture (in a sense). I did overall enjoy all three puzzles as easy level ones, but not real challenging for the experienced puzzlers.
