I purchased these for my front porch so I could see going down my stairs when I left at 0 dark hundred in the morning. The first night I had both of them in and boy are they bright, too bright. The light sockets are only a door's width apart from each other, they worked fine, however, because of the brightness I took one out. I only need one so that is a plus. They come on and off as described, would highly recommend them. And on a positive note, if you have a ring doorbell, it helps pick up the area better as well.

After wasting a bunch of money on dusk-to-dawn bulbs that wouldn't work in my recessed fixture, I finally found these bulbs that work.I wasn't aware of the different placements of light sensors on photocell bulbs.The ones I purchased first, have little nub buttons on the side of the bulb base. That's what senses the presence/absence of light and triggers the bulb to go on or turn off.It's only after doing some research, that I learned that only certain types of bulbs will work in recessed fixtures.These designs of bulbs have the light sensor build into the base of the bulb, rather than on the sides.It's pretty easy to notice the difference by just looking at the bulb, but I ordered these based on their specific description that these will work in recessed fixtures.They work perfectly.Save yourself some trial and error and wasted $, and get these if you have recessed or enclosed fixtures.

The light bulb is good last about four years on me. I like it it will go on when it gets dark and go off in the morning

I got these for my outside back door light. They are super bright and provide a good amount of light. I love that it’s white light because white light seems to be brighter to me. I also like that I can just pretty much install these, turn the switch on, and forget about it. They come on by themselves when it starts to get dark outside and they go off when the sun comes up. I’m not sure if they are saving me any money on the energy bill but I would assume so.

These light bulbs are fantastic! I screwed them in, turned the light switch off & on three times to activate, kept in the ON Position, the bright light comes on as soon as its dark, stay on all night and go off automatically when the sun appears. GREAT for security around my home. I put tape over the light switch, in the ON position, so they will never be turned off. If you need a bright light around your home to keep the creeps away at night, buy these!

Needed a bulb for my outside lights, selected these. They are great between dusk and dawn, no fuss or worry.

I bought these because I thought, why not it's 6$ and my previous bulbs were different kinds and driving me nuts. These are so cool, they only come on when it's dark and turn off when the sun is out. No more worrying about turning the porch lights on and off. Bright enough for us to see in the early mornings. It's only been 3 days but I'm hoping these last a while. The box says 3 hours but these are on all night.
