Works ok but I think I ordered the wrong item.

I got this steering wheel lockout cover for my son when he leaves his truck at my house while he is away at work. He has an alarm system but those are easy to get around and so I got this lockout cover. I followed the directions and I placed a lock through the grommet but It didn't seem right. I'm female and I just don't understand the concept of this cover. Must be my ignorance or something but it seems useless to me. I hope others find it more useful than I did.
