Great piece of kit
Bought for my father who can no longer walk due to dementia and is in a care home. The care home has its own wheelchairs, but these are all small wheeled "transit" models, with solid tyres (typically marketed as "unpunctureable"). The transit chairs are fine indoors but when used outside, the ride over any distance is pretty uncomfortable (especially given the general state of the roads and pavements). The large pneumatic tyres on this Mobiquip all terrain chair make a huge difference when taking my father out - he is much more comfortable and has stopped flinching every time we go over a bad bump. This means that we can go much further afield than before and opens up a lot more possibilities in terms of places we can visit etc.It arrived quickly and the only assembly required is unfolding it and putting on the front foot supports - instructions on this could've been a bit better but I got there fairly quickly. It is quite lightweight and folds up into a really compact shape, so it's fine parked in a corner of his room in the care home - we just use it when we want to take him outdoors. I also found it easier to push than the transit models. For anyone worried about getting punctures in the pneumatic tyres, the outer tyres are pretty thick mountain bike-style ones, which should offer a degree of protection. It also comes with a replacement inner tube and a bicycle pump, which attaches to the underside of the chair. I wasn't expecting that and thought it was a nice touch. For the money, I think this is brilliant value, especially when compared with prices for similar wheelchairs elsewhere. I didn't want to spend a huge amount on the chair because it is not going to be used day to day - only when we want to take my father out. Some reviewers have commented negatively on the little anti-tip wheels at the rear. I haven't found these to be a problem. I haven't got them fully extended so that they rest on the ground - they are one notch up from that (so they are a few centimetres off the ground). I think that is probably enough to stop tipping right back (and in any event, my father isn't able to propel the wheelchair - so there would normally be someone behind it pushing and hopefully able to stop any tip-up). In any event, the wheelchair itself feels pretty stable, so I would think there's a reasonable chance the anti-tip wheels will never actually be needed. The brakes also seem very robust and are effective in stopping wheel movement once fully engaged.

Fit for purpose
This chair has been a life saver so far. I haven’t used it for long so I cannot speak regarding consistency but overall it’s been amazing so far. The all terrain wheels live up to their name and the anti-tip wheels are a life saver. It is easy to do wheelies in to get over curbs and the anti-tip wheels allow you to get up ramps without fear of falling back. The adjustable armrests allow for a more comfortable position when self propelling and it is also very easy to push. For the price it is an amazing chair. It even comes with a tire pump which attached under the chair and a spare tire inner circle incase of puncture on the go.Could not recommend more.

Very robust
This is an excellent chair, robust, easy to push and folds/dismantles to varying degrees to suit your requirements. It was bought specifically to take my 91 year old mother to a country show, so being pushed on rough grass but still easy to push. We were very impressed.

A great wheelchair considering the price
This is a great wheelchair for the price. It folds up well, so that putting it in the car is not a problem. It is very versatile in that it makes a fairly good self-propelled wheelchair as well as a good transit (pushed by carer) wheelchair. The flip up arm rests are a bonus for some. It is also reassuring that it has anti-tip small wheels at the back, which gave my 13 year old confidence to do 'wheelies" knowing that she couldn't really hurt herself (but great for older customers too who need to tilt the chair to get up kirbs etc). The push/pull handbrakes that can be reached by the wheelchair user work well. The chair also looks super sporty and cool, which is especially great for younger customers. It is comfortable, but it would benefit from the addition of a separate thick cushioned seat, because the original one is quite thin though slightly padded. The only minor complaint I would have is that there are wheelchairs out there that are easier to push/ manoeuvre for users who are in their chair much of the day, everyday, but these come at a different price point altogether. The wheelchair can deal with problematic terrain like cobbled streets (like we have in the old parts of Liverpool city center). All in all, it's a great wheelchair for people who don't need to be self-propelling all day, everyday. Those people might need to go up in price to find their perfect wheelchair, but if their budget limits them to under £450, I bet this is the best one they'll find.

Absolutely fantastic chair
Absolutely fab chair. Great customer service, sorted immediately when one foot rest missing in delivery. Everyone comments on how robust it looks and it deals with all terrain. Extremely good for a comfy ride on the very poor pavements and across grass etc.

Life-saver, with a broken ankle, cast on this has been amazing.
This was the only way to get in the office and around. What a chair, comfort, easy to get around, light weight, can't find better. A few colleagues have asked for the link for their family member as its so good and off road ready. The only thing I did wrong was not pump the tires up first.

Very Sturdy and Comfortable
I am very impressed with the quality of this product it is easy to put together and dismantle to put in the boot. My wife tells me it is very comfortable and she likes the fact that you can position the armrests how you personally want them. The wheels detatch easily and you can also take off the handles if you use it without someone pushing you.It is easy to fold and also comes with a pocket on the back of the back rest to keep the little pouch of tools that comes with it.The only real down side is that the tyre pump that comes with it is abit cheap and not the easiest to get off which means air loss, however I used our decent bicycle pump so it wasnt a big issue. It also came very well packaged and was delivered within the specified time slot.My wife did say it takes abit of getting used to having the chunkier tyres when she is using it on her own, but we wanted something that could go better over rougher terrain. We havent yet tried this out so are unable to give an opinion as yet.
