Works great for older and newer sata drives.
This worked great for honking up an old drive to my Mac that only has usb C. This one also came with the right power adapter to power older mechanical drives. Price was right. I had tried a different brand and that one didn’t work.All and all a great product that works.

Very useful.....
Turned extra internal optical drive into a portable plug in device. Does the job. One critique....it does not have a strong bond when plugged in. Comes loose easily.

Does what it's suppose to do
I got this for transferring files off a 3.5 in HD, so plugged it in, including the power adaptor which is required for 3.5" and it worked great and file transfer was fast.

Works as advertised
Works as advertised for full size 3.5" hard drives. The item is a bit clunky since you have to plug it into a 110v outlet and your computer... Would be nice to figure out a way to pwr a 3.5" hdd without a 110v pwr supply... But yea the type c connection was darn fast enough!
