I thought it made a difference when frying foods. It seemed to have reduced the lingering smell. Easy to use, a bit thick but it fit.

Fitted my kitchenaid microwave range! They work nicely

First off, I really had trouble finding the right size filters for my Whirlpool Low Profile over-the-range microwave. I first looked on the Whirlpool site, entered the filter number for the product manual, and nothing. Taking time to look through all their filters, Whirlpool didn't even have it! So I did a search on Google and found out the filter number had changed, and after that, I did find it on an appliance parts website for over $40 for two with shipping cost. I went ahead and ordered them. The within minutes of placing that order, I decided to just see if Amazon carried them. I found these from Fresh Headquarters, two for so much less cost! They didn't look exactly like the ones my microwave came with, but they were the exact same size. And the description said they fit the Whirlpool Low Profile Microwave. So I ordered them, and went to the appliance parts website and cancelled my order there. Weeks later, I had a small envelope in my mailbox from North Carolina. My address and the return address were hand written, and it looked like a small card. I don't know anyone from NC, so I was really curious what it was. To my surprise, it was from Fresh Headquarters personally thanking me for buying their filters! How pleasing and thoughtful of them to take the time to hand write me a thank you note! That's what I call personalized service. I will definately continue to purchase my microwave filters from this company. Excellent quality, affordable, and great customer service! I cut to the sizes I needed and figured out how to secure them to the steel mesh filters in my MIcrowave/Hood. This is working well - when I remember to run the fan, these filters really do cut down on the amount of smells in the air. Obviously, these filters can't do anything about extra humidity from cooking. If I ever burn anything, I will be eager to see if these filters can really clear smoke from the air.

Perfectly cut to fit without any hassle at all. But I could see light pass through the filter even when just holding down toward the floor (i.e., not up to a light bulb or anything). Oils and odors might pass through the filter more easily traveling routes you can't reach to clean. The original filters that came with the over were solid black, completely opaque. Might have to look for KitchenAid-branded filters instead.

Was a bit unsure of this purchase at first when I saw what it looked like. My microwave/oven has a vent to outside which I assumed that was all I need as my previous one was the same just a different brand never had cooking smells in the house. When this happened now (it’s only 3 yrs old) I thought it was broken so I googled and said I had to replace the filters! didn’t even know had filters as I always washed the metal filters and never saw any other ones!!!! But this one works! Definitely a great purchase how long it will last we shall see!
