Omg!
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!! You have to read it! 💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👏👏 for Cathy Cassidy, she is THE BEST!!!! I 💜 her :) I really relate to this book because I am a dancer and (quote from the book) I look like a Labrador in a leotard, all big and fat and with a massive stomach... My stomach is like a balloon. This is a story about a girl called Summer who dreams about being a dancer (like me!). She gets a shot at it buy being chosen to audition for an incredible dance school. Summer begins to think she is fat, fat, fat and stops eating. She pushes herself like crazy and becomes tired and so thin you can see her ribs. Read the book to find out what happens, I don't want to spoil it all! :)Cathy Cassidy fan/ I 💜 dance!!!

I love this book - warning, this contains spoilers
If you like the other Cathy Cassidy books, you'll love this one.Summer Tanberry is pretty, cool and popular. She's the girl everyone wants to be. She is close to her twin sister, Skye, and they confide everything to each other. But when their parents divorce and their father moves to Australia, Summer finds herself drifting further and further away from her twin. When Skye admits that she'd never shared Summer's love of dancing, Summer finally realises that she can't tell her sister everything. However, luck strikes and Summer's dancing teacher Miss Elise selects her as one of the few to compete for a place at a new dancing school, Rochelle Academy. Summer’s talents are pushed to the limit as she tires herself out practising day in, day out. When Summer begins to worry about her weight, she has nobody to talk to and finds herself slipping. Forgetting everything she has been advised against, Summer does everything she can to lose weight, and begins to eat ‘rabbit food’, feeding anything else to Fred the dog. Summer thinks she’s lucky that nobody’s noticed, but one person has slipped her gaze. Her ‘podgy’ friend Jodie from Miss Elise’s dancing classes has been watching her eating habits and is getting more and more worried. Finally, she confronts Summer about it, who agrees to eat something from the cake shop. But she is overwhelmed when Jodie comes out with a huge chocolate cake, and runs off.Above all, Summer has a boyfriend who has no idea what she’s going through. Aaron is the boy everyone wants to be with, but Summer is wondering if he’s really that good. When she discovers that the only romantic thing he had ever done for her wasn’t really him, she starts the process of breaking up with him. But Aaron isn’t getting any of the signs, so Summer resorts to confiding in the class clown, Alfie. However, she discovers Alfie isn’t really the comical nut he makes out – he’s actually gentle and a good listener.Things get worse when her rebel sister Honey decides it’s about time to tell Summer what’s really happening to her – anorexia. The confrontation happens in an old stable full of hay, where Honey has daringly been smoking – which sets the barn alight.Summer is taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, and the doctors discover her condition. Summer is unable to take her place at the ballet school, due to her illness. In the middle of all this turmoil, the Tanberry family discover Honey has run away…I strongly recommend this book to all Cathy Cassidy fans and also to anyone wanting a good girly read.

#YOLO-so read this book now!!!!!
This is an amazing sensitive tale. Cathy Cassidy really draws you into the book, making you feel like part of the Tanberry Family. I have read the 1st three books from this series and will definitely be buying Cocoa Caramel and Bitter sweet immediately! This story deals with anorexia in a subtle and understanding way and shows there is still hope even if your dreams and the things you love crash and burn. The points of drama in this book add high suspense and the descriptive detail enhances the amazing imagery.Every book in the series has a different voice but they are equally as good. It's amazing how cathy uses her characterisation skills to make each book different. I highly reccomend reading every one of her books!!!#YOLO-so read Cathy Cassidy

The book is the third book in the third book in the chocolate bow collection and I would recommend it to girls around nine to eleven or twelveThe book stated summers hopes and dreams of dancing in the royal school of dance and is determined to push her self to the limit to reach her dreams but is this for better or for worse?Summer lives in a bed and breakfast and when her mum and steps as go on there honey moon summer finds it harder than ever to cope with the pressure off her teacher and fellow dancing studentsRead this book if you have ever had big dreams or love dance(However I would read cherry crush and marshmallow sky first)

Cathy can write!
I got this book about three weeks ago and I have read it twice. I have read most of the The Chocolate Box Girls and enjoyed them very much. I recommend this book for 10 plus for there are some sad parts that very young children may not under stand. The best Cathy Cassidy book I have read is Coco Carmel. It is a good idea to read them in order. Jam.1

The Chocolate Box Girls: Summer's Dream
This book was very interesting and I hope you can read it because it is very good, whether you are just having a quick read or a proper one! I would recommend it to 9-14.This is the 3 book in the series and even if you have not read the other ones it would not matter because it explains most of the previous books.Summer is thirteen and she has a big dreams to be a ballet star one day. But her parents are on honey moon when a big audition comes up. Then with the pressure of passing to go to a ballet school leads to a fall out with her sister Honey ,who leaves her in hospital.Of course there is a happy end that you will find out if you read the book. I am 10 years old and really enjoyed this book and i hope you find the review helpful!(Read the book on my kindle fire!)
