Moen R8932 Home Care 32-Inch Concealed Screw Bath Safety Bathroom Grab Bar, Stainless

I chose these because of the textured grip, and it does feel safer when using tub or shower. Installed easily to replace old smooth chipped white bars.

This was purchased to replace Moen grab bars that were installed but whose screw covers kept falling off the screw area and sliding along the grab bar. The supplier/installer proceeded to caulk the screw covers to the wall, which kept the covers secure but allowed water to accumulate inside the larger, fancier screw covers. Not wanting future mold issues, I bought these grab bars with simpler screw covers to replace the Moen grab bars with fancier screw covers. I bought Moen so that the holes would line up with the existing holes and I wouldn't have to make new holes in the wall and fill in the old holes. Well, the other grab bars were removed, the caulking taken off the walls, and the holes matched up perfectly. All good, now, and the little lady is happy. That's the most important thing.

Really big, I should have ordered a smaller one. Super sturdy. I feel safe in my newly remodeled shower.

These are GREAT! They are Strong and Stable. Note: must be installed/attached to the wall studs properly. They have a smooth/rough surface in the cehter for better grip (even when wet), than a slick smooth metal surface.I suggest them for consideration, when checking users hand grip strength.

Excellent for elderly relatives. Will be getting another set soon for another relative.

Easy to install all the parts were included

I installed this grab bar vertically next to a bath tub. The mounting brackets give you some flexibility with the location of your screws, so I was able to get two screws into the stud at the top and at the bottom. I added a hollow wall anchor (designed for use with grab bars) at the top and bottom, for a total of six fasteners. After reading other reviews I chose not to use the screws that came with the bar, but the screws I used were not much better. My advice is not to use Phillips-head screws for mounting this type of grab bar to a wood stud. Instead, use screws with Torx or square drive heads. Also, use masking tape to fasten the two decorative covers to the middle of the bar during installation so that they don't slide around making screeching noises while you're trying to work.

Husband wanted something about 4 foot long to mount on the bedroom wall to help with him getting out of bed. He had a stroke and needed all the help he cound get. This did the trick. Solid mount and very strong with no slippage when grabbed!

I pondered about getting a grab bar for the bath tub. I'm a 67 year old gal, wanting to soak in a bubble bath..but my pride was in the way....like bars are for the old, fragile & frail. Not for me, of course! Decided to bite the bullet because the more I thought about bubble baths, the more I thought: SAFETY FIRST! Hence, the purchase. My son & grandson installed it for me a few months ago. Since then, I've been taking regular bubble baths without worrying if I'm going to slip or slide or fall.A well worth purchase!

The bars were installed in the bath and are really helpfull both in the shower and getting in and out.
