My favorite soil for so many plants I have in containers!
I use this, mixed with some extra bark chips or perlite for drainage, in nearly all my containers. From houseplants all the way to 6-foot citrus trees, quite a few types of plants thrive in an acidic soil, and I love the fact that this is an organic way to provide that with many gentle nutrients. A few plants that need exceptionally acidic soil, such as blueberries, will need more to bring down the pH even further, but for the vast majority, this soil is perfect out of the bag. Love it and will pay the more expensive price tag it carries to have my happy thriving plants!

Works well for my curry tree
Acid lovers soil is difficult to find, none of the brands the grower of my curry tree recommended were available so I tried this and it works well.

great for rhododendrons
I used this first a couple of years ago when I bought a relatively expensive plant from a local nursery--they no longer carry it. I'm glad Amazon had it since all of my acid loving plants have grown better than expected when I mixed this in with the native soil.

I think that it was probably due to it having such good nutrition so I will definitely be using this product ...
I thought a practically dead blueberry plant in crossed my fingers hoping it would come back to life with the aid of this product. It did! I think that it was probably due to it having such good nutrition so I will definitely be using this product again. It came right on time so that is always a plus in my books.

This is a very good soil I use it for my Blue Berries and ...
Since neither Home Depot or OSH is no longer selling Acidic Soil any more. This is where I have to buy it from. This is a very good soil I use it for my Blue Berries and Potatoes.

Just like everyone says, not acidic
Very disappointing. It does not appear to be acidic. It’s very expensive for potting soil, takes a long time to get to you, and in the end, isn’t acidic at all. It has the same PH as regular potting soil. What a waste of time/money. Save yourself the grief and just get regular potting soil and make it acidic using other methods.

Not terribly acidic.
Let this be both a review and advice. This soil is not acidic, at least it doesn't come acidic. Instead, it comes with additives that will make it acidic as your soil microbiology works them down, but even then it won't hit that 4.5 your blueberries are after. You have to buy a soil acidifier and give it time to do it's work. No agricultural supplier will give you acidic soil, because acidic soil buffers out over time. You have to keep applying acidifier to keep soil acidity, as it's actually a rare occurrence to have acidic soil outside of a forest.I can't blame Dr. Earth for selling common garden soil with some minor acidic ingredients, but I can danm sure blame them for selling it at close to premium price, marketing it as pre-acidified.For the same price as this one bag of soil, you could have gotten a proven brand soil and acidic fertilizer. And while it might take up to a year to properly drop acidity you can at least be sure you are getting what you paid for.

NOT THAT ACIDIC!
I DID NOT BUY THIS THROUGH THESE GUYS!!!!!!! This soil is not as acidic as you would think!!!! And there is no way to know if it fresh or not and how long it has been rained on!!! I tested 6 bags(I only have one place to buy it from!), 2 bags where from a different pallet earlier last summer! THEY ALL TESTED -/+ 6.5 pH!!!! If it was truly for acidic luvin plants and they wanted to be on the lower scale of things! I could see being closer to 5.5 pH. SO BEWARE OF THE FACT MAY NEED TO LOWER YOUR PH STILL FOR ACID LUVIN PLANTS!!! BUT I DO LIKE THE MAKE UP OF THIS MIXTURE!
