The Review I Was Looking For...
This is my first everr review of an Amazon product and I am doing this review because I had a lot of questions that the reviews didn't quite answer...First, size. I am a solid 16, with a DD to DDD bust. I ordered a 3XL (UK 20) and it is a good fit. With that being said, without the petticoat this hits at a terribly spot for 'hip-y' gals. I will probably wear spanks or get the petticoat to smooth out the bell shape. Also, the boat neck does not lay flat because of my bust size (I figured this would be the cause going into the purchase).Quality. I actually think it's a pretty good quality. It is lined and both (outside and liner) are of good quality. The belt is pleather and came folded, so there are a lot of bubbles in it whe. It is straightened out. This I don't really care about as I had planned to buy a thicker belt to go with it. You will have to iron this or at the very least toss it in the dryer to get the wrinkles out (It came packaged in one of those plastic envelopes). I also felt that he polka dot was a little bigger than displayed in this photo. Also, I wanted to mention that I bought this on Friday, 2/28/14 and it arrived 3/10/14. Don't trust the Amazon estimate. All in all, I am really excited to weart his dress! All in all, I am excited

Great style, cut, construction and fit, but more mustard than mocha.
Very cute, thick material, and fully lined with a soft, mesh-like synthetic. It's very nicely constructed, too. But the color is not what I expected - it's much more yellow - not a typical mocha. Not horrible, but I'd have preferred something I'd normally call mocha or beige. I would call this mustard. DO make sure to read the measurements. I'm normally between 2 standard sizes (which these are not), so based on their sizing, I ordered 3-4 sizes larger than I normally would - might have been able to get away with 2-3 sizes larger. I'd say the most important measurement to get right is the waist. It may have a touch of stretch, but doesn't seem like a lot - and there's a lot of material at the waist, so it seems the least likely place to stretch. Cut is nice and pretty - very much as expected. Only slight fit problem is the front neck has a touch of slack, as is common with this style of neck, so I'll try to keep my shoulders back. Very attractive style - has lots of body to it. Really wish the color wasn't so jaundiced - then it would be perfect.

I'll fitting, cheaply made, bad poly knit lining....not worth it.
Dress arrived quickly and looked gorgeous. The fabric was a nice heavy stretch cotton but the lining was some cheesy polyester stuff...a lightweight knit. Instantly too hot and uncomfortable to wear in summer which was what I wanted it for. The bust darts aren't in the proper place for this size. The pattern grading wasn't done correctly. (I know because I sew. 30+ yrs.)So although it went on my body well it didn't fit correctly. It looked weird in the chest area. There was a large gap at the neck line which as I moved or bent forward it would catch on my chin. The front wouldn't lay flat on my chest. In addition to just fitting in the bust the waist was ridiculously huge. So instead of getting a fitted Audrey Hepburn look.....I ended up looking like I was wearing an 80s mom, loose jumper type dress. Not at all what I was going for. I could have tailored it but overall I found the dress to be ill fitting and cheaply made and not worth altering. I ultimately I returned it. I exchanged it for another ill fitting dress and finally gave up and got a refund. On a good note their customer service is very nice. Keep in mind that this is an overseas seller and returning things will be costly. So, much so that I had to just settle for a refund. I did try 4 different dresses but their dresses seemed inconsistently sized and of inconsistent fabric....some nice and some cheap. All the bust darts for the larger sizes were in the wrong place. I think with some pattern grading changes and some upgrades in fabric and linings these dresses have potential to be great but as is they are unwearable for me. That makes me sad too because they have so many cute styles, a wide variety of patterns and good prices that I find myself lusting after their dresses but I won't buy from them again unless something changes.

Beautiful with an awkward fit
The dress arrived in about two weeks. The fit is very close to how it's depicted. I usually wear a size 14 (US). I bought an XL and possibly could have gone a little smaller but it's not noticeable enough to warrant returning. *edit: after actually wearing this dress for a night out I noticed a couple things that I hadn't when I first tried it on. The darts in the chest on the larger size are still placed for smaller sizes which is a little too high for bigger busted ladies (I'm a D cup). This causes the dress to squish the boobs down and takes away some of the definition between chest and midsection. It also causes the neckline to bunch and bow rather than lay flat which not only looks awkward but catches my lipstick when I look down.Otherwise, it really is a beautiful, well crafted dress. I definitely recommend Lindy Bop to those whose chests may be better suited for the cut.

Cute dress, however it's not recommended for short people!
I ordered a medium size as a part of my Halloween costume and even though it fit as expected, the length of this dress is way too long for someone who is short. I am 5'3" and the length of the skirt goes past my knees. It literally hits the middle of my shins so I looked stumpy. I also ordered a white petticoat to wear underneath and it still didn't make a difference. I would not recommend this dress for someone shorter than 5'5" at least.I don't know why people are complaining about the arm openings being too small or the chest part having all this extra space, but I didn't have any issues. I am 123 lbs., 36 in. bust and would recommend ordering a size up like everyone else has mentioned. The quality of the fabric is great! I was skeptical that it was going to be cheap and thin but it's actually pretty thick.

Fits great at the waist
I have only just tried this dress on but haven't gotten to wear it properly yet. Fits great at the waist, I just need some bigger boobs to fill it!lol Great material too. Can't wait until I can actually wear it for my 50's Housewife hen party :)
