My dogs, who aren't very used to being groomed, don't mind being brushed with this! It does a great job raking out the loose fur from their short coats. And it feels nice and sturdy, which is great since I'm tired of buying junk that falls apart after a few uses.Edit: I dropped a star because the handle did end up falling of about a year in. I super glued it back on, and it's good as new. Also, I've found that this works great on my dog who has slightly fluffy/textured fur and less well with my dog who has super sleek fur. (For her, I've found a Zoom Groom works best!)

I wasn't sure about this comb, I had others that just didn't work out. I have two cats with short fur but lots of shedding. The comb is much longer than others I had, which makes it better for grooming. And the hair! This comb picked up a lot. But the thing that I was most impressed with was how my cats loved being brushed. They are not the cuddly, sit in your lap cats, but they loved being brushed. Both sat there the entire time I brushed, very content. This comb works well. The amount of hair it caught was amazing. Love the comb but my cats love it more!

My little 18 pound terrier sheds all over the place so I decided to do something about it and got the Fur Sweep hoping it would work as well as people said it would. Well they were right-I can't believe how much hair came out of that little dog. This tool works like a charm. Be careful to use gentle strokes and not dig into the dog's fur. All you want to do is remove the loose hair and this little gadget really does it.

I have two lab mixes and have tried numerous pet (and human) brushes over the years. The FurSweep works very well to "deshed" my dogs. The dogs do not object to being brushed as they do with some other brush designs. I was surprised to find that the handle and the blue front portion of the brush are made of durable metal (aluminum?) instead of plastic. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Bought this for my picky daughter when it comes down to her puppy .. she loves it for her short hair Chihuahua 8 month old puppy .. Small and compact manageable enough .. Well made solid quality .. Fantastic! Never seen such amazing results. Cat loves it. And tho pretty short haired, i get enuff undergrowth fur to make a small pillow!! After only 2 weeks. She looks beautiful and keeps her dandruf under control! This priduct is a keeper. Amazon betta keep it well stocked

I brushed my dog at least twice a week with a regular dog brush. He still was leaving fur everywhere. I had seen a comb similar to this one at our local pet shop. It had a plastic handle and was more than double the price of this one. I decided to try this comb instead. In ten minutes I had combed an entire grocery bag full of fur from my German Shepherd. This thing really works! I highly recommend it!

This brush really does remove a lot of fur, and my cats seem to tolerate it a bit better than other brushes. They still don't love it though! But if I'm only going to get 4 seconds of brushing in, I'm glad it counts.
