Jackie Collins // Hollywood Wives The Complete Three part Mini Series

From the who’s who of B list (and some greats!) stars of the time, to the fashion, to the over acting! This is an absolute feast. The Laura Branigan theme song alone is worth the price of admission. I saw this when it originally aired, thought it was mediocre, and forgot about it until I bought the book at a thrift store and read it. When I saw this on Amazon, I knew I should give it another go. A pure time capsule, and I enjoyed it for pure nostalgia.

Ever since I watched him as Robin in The Fury (1978), I have loved Andrew Stevens (who could resist those hypnotic, sexy eyes)! I could watch him in anything. He's an incredible actor from the 1970s & 80s. Incredibly attractive, to boot. What's not to like? ;-) 💋😍 Watching him playing two parts in Hollywood Wives (one character good & decent, the other devilishly evil) really showed his range of versatility as an actor. What could be better! I also highly recommend Massacre at Central High (1976), The Seduction (1982) & Scared Stiff (1987), in addition to his stellar performance in this deliciously engrossing mini-series. They don't make 'em like this anymore 👏💕

Had forgotten how cheap, trashy and thoroughly enjoyable this mini-series was from 1985 -- plenty of stars to oogle - it's fun to see who will pop up in the next scene! Escape from the pandemic 21st century and watch this TV extravaganza - you won't regret it.

Hollywood Wives has a warning at the start of the dvd proclaming due to the age of this t.v. movie. Parts may be unclear. Well thats far from the truth. It is a crystal clear dvd with no flaws at all. Excellent all star cast with a great storyline at a great price from Amazon. ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER

What a fun way to spend an evening or two. Well worth the price. A bargain, actually. Movie is full of stars and familiar faces.

I put this miniseries in my category of 'Guilty Pleasures'. It is way over the top but todays standards, but it is still so much fun! Love all the actors/actresses in this, and find it amazing what some of them went on to do later in their careers. Anthony Hopkins for one, went on to win an Oscar six years later. Candice Bergen went on to play 'Murphy Brown'. Andrew Stevens is so incredibly handsome! The clothes with the oversized shoulder pads and large earrings are a hoot! I have so much fun every time I watch this, a real salute to the 80s!

I will say first that I am very much a person who prefers the book over a movie/show.I had high hopes and waited to finish the book before watching this.Very good cast but I was disappointed.In my opinion it missed many storylines that made the book amazing

Lots of stars and the usual Jackie Collins plot line. It was fun to see the old fashions (shoulder pads) and huge hair. Angie Dickenson was my favorite star.
